I genuinely don’t have a clue how it works regarding the olympics, but it must be a ball ache for any club releasing a player to go, it looks like far too many situations can leave the club vulnerable to financial loss, even more difficult when that player is an asset worth millions so chances are he’s going nowhere i agree, how he’s handled it doesn’t sit well with me either, not only that, but say for example, morelos wanted to go to the olympics should we just allow that tae and throw away chance we had to play in the champions league, it comes across very fucking selfish and almost a slap in the face to his teammates who will be striving to qualify for the cl, should he be given any minutes to play in the cl on his return, what about the guys who made themselves available to get us there, too many cans of worms

The club have the right to decide wether to allow him to go or not, the Olympics are not a registered fifa tournament and some clubs have already refused to let their players go, so he’s adamant he wants to go, well let’s see how much he wants to go, let’s see if he’d be willing to put everything on the line to go but the easiest way to deal with it, that I think the club will do is just refuse him to go, then we might aswell sell as he looks the type to go in a huff, just my opinion obv

Listen mate he looks an outstanding prospect and I’ve yet to see him have a bad game, but it happens to them all, and couple of bad games as a young boy and you can find yourself back to square 1. put it this way if he stops developing he WONT make it at us, if he keeps developing, of course he could move to a better league but it won’t be for a long time yet IMO so plenty of time to see if he comes to fruition and if he outgrows the league (big statement to make) then he goes an we get a big fee, win win for everybody
