BLUEDIGNITY 33,927
Let's Do Summit Special AFTER a good win and performance against Dundee United on Tuesday, the onus is on us now to do it all over again this weekend against Motherwell. They'll come to Ibrox on Saturday looking for a positive result and it is our job to ensure they don't leave with one. The last time we met them in September we weren't playing well at all. In fact, we could easily have lost at Fir Park and would have had no complaints had that happened. Since then - and particularly over the last couple of weeks - we have picked up a lot and we played very well up at Tannadice. How well we did there was proof there has been a big change in us and we are looking far brighter now than we were a few games ago. We're creating more opportunities than we have been previously and that's a big thing for us. We're imposing ourselves on opponents too and that's terrific to see. But we can't rest on our laurels and must keep doing that on a regular basis, starting two days from now. We are aware of how good a side Motherwell are and while they might not have won for a while, that's not to say they're any less capable. They've shown on more than one occasion this term just what they can do and Jim Gannon has done a good job there. He deserves a lot of credit. Motherwell had a huge turnover of staff in the close season yet they've been able to settle down quite quickly and are a very difficult team to overcome. They have a lot of good young players and they, along with the signings they brought in, have done well. We're in a situation now where every game is going to be vital. Rangers and Celtic only have a very small gap between themselves, Dundee United and Hibs. They're both pushing the Old Firm all the way so the margin of error is even tighter than it has been in previous seasons and we must be conscious of that. It's great to be back on top of the league but now we are required to keep playing like champions if we are to stay at the summit and that's what we intend to do. mapleridgebear 0
I am praying for a win for the Bears on saturday so we pile the pressure right on Celtic. I can really see them succumbing to the pressure at Tynecastle if we win against Motherwell. Mon the champs
