ross1873 1 Posted January 4, 2010 Share Posted January 4, 2010 VAT rose from 15% to 17.5% on 1st jan for the whole country, take it up with the government. it's not a new thing it was reduced from 17.5% to 15% for the credit crunch to allow the public to have a bit more spending power and help us try to get back into the shops but in reality it is only £2.50 in every £100 you spend, unless your some sort of high flyer this really won't be an issue.
