The Moonlighter 3,624
The McNeil family plots at Craigton Cemetery Glasgow were discovered back in 2008. The grave of Alexander McNeil was the only plot that was marked with a stone, those of Founder Peter McNeil and his brother James were unmarked. In 2013, after consultation with the McNeil family, funds were raised via the Rangers support and two memorial stones placed. Our restoration team have since put in new foundations for the Alexander McNeil plot, cleaned and this week re-lettered the stone. Alexander McNeil’s family made contact with us last year whom we have since met. The plots are as follows: Plot 500. Alexander McNeil and his family. Plot 501. Founder Peter McNeil. His brother and Rangers team mate William. Parents John and Jean. Plot 502 James McNeil His wife Lucy Ann and son Brodie. This completes the work on the McNeil family plots. Aubie92 1,074
Good work the restoration project are doing. I'm still surprised that the club didn't do this for the founders years ago, but it's good that Rangers fans have.
