The tragic Rangers legend thanked the club's supporters, who he dubbed 'Simply the Best', for their support through his six-year battle with Motor Neurone Disease. The 44-year-old was writing a new book about the club's history, highlighting famous moments and memories. His tribute came in the foreword of '10 matches 10 players' in August, just weeks before his death. Each sale of the book will see £1.50 donated to the Rangers Former Players Benevolent Fund.
