Stuart McCall

While I'm reasonably happy about the Smith/McCoist idea, we don't know just how hands on Walter Smith will be. Coisty is pretty inexperienced as a coach and I'd be much happier if Stuart McCall is also part of the team as has been rumoured. I think that would be a more balanced "boot room" sort of setup.

Any views?

I am a bit worried about Coisty being left in charge too as he is not that experienced, as much as I admire and love the guy. Stuart McCall would jump at the chance no doubt though. John Brown's another potential for assistant. He did bring some great players through the youth system.

Bad move all round, in my opinion. Walter Smith's time at Ibrox has ben, in fact it lasted a year too long and cost us ten in a row. Ally McCoist was a great player for Rangers, but doesn't have the mean streak to be a manager. Stuart McCall wouldn't still be at Sheff Utd if he could cut it.
