Ledley Game - 1 game a week?!

Tottenham manager Juande Ramos has admitted that Ledley King's injury problems mean he may never be able to play regularly again.

The Spurs captain has only played a handful games this season and was forced to withdraw from Fabio Capello's first England squad ahead of Wednesday's friendly against Switzerland, sparking fears his international career may be over.

With the 27-year-old limited to one game per week maximum, Ramos brought in Jonathan Woodgate, Alan Hutton and Chris Gunter to bolster the team's defence during the January transfer window.

Now the Spaniard is able to pick and chose when he plays King, but when asked if the commanding centre-back will ever be able to play regular football, he said: "That's something we don't know. It depends how his knee comes on.

"At the moment we're using him when we can and when we feel it is necessary for us to do so.

"It is a concern and we've got that worry. Ideally we want him to play every week.

"However, this is something we can't control and we have to wait and see how his injury is.

"Yes, it's difficult to create any continuity and not ideal to pick and choose games, but that's how it is.
