TheGreatRadish 1
to be honest we had no chance of winning the vote, but we might get one of the smaller casinos. Borough of Great Yarmouth? City of Kingston-upon-Hull? City of Leeds? Borough of Middlesbrough? City of Milton Keynes? London Borough of Newham? Borough of Solihull? City of SouthamptonRecommendations (small casinos)We recommend the following areas for the licensing of the eight small casinos to bepermitted by the Act:? Bath and North East Somerset District? Dumfries and Galloway District? East Lindsey District? Borough of Luton? Borough of Scarborough? County Borough of Swansea? Borough of Torbay? Metropolitan Borough of Wolverhamptonhttp://www.culture.gov.uk/Cap/publications...tcap_300107.pdfGlasgow either had to be granted the Regional Casino, or it got nothing. Note that the same applies to Blackpool, Greenwich, Sheffield, Cardiff, Newcastle etc.It is possible, of course, that Glasgow could benefit from a second round of licences being granted, in which case, if it wants a Large or Small casino instead of a Regional one, it would have to make that clear in its application. However;Liberal Democrat culture spokesman Don Foster said: "Any further increase in the number of super-casinos, without a full study of the impact on Manchester, would be against the wishes of Parliament and the concerns of many local communities."
