The Argentine international has made sporadic starts for the Tuscans over the last two years since he joined from Palermo. However, with Champions League football looming and a number of new faces arriving this summer, Santana’s days at the Stadio Artemio Franchi could be numbered. “We have received an offer from Tottenham, which we are satisfied with,†Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino told the Corriere dello Sport. “I think Santana will join Spurs within the next few days and will sign a three or four-year contract.†The fee for Santana, who also has Italian citizenship, is expected to be around £4m.
