A break they reset the bone and it will heal to full strength given time...a ligament might never heal fully and if it is snapped or torn the actual rupture will be never be the same again! Ligament damage is far worse than a break! And even when it is a bad break the actual damage that stops them returning to play is the surrounding muscles and ligaments that have been damaged and weakened! Ive had ligament damage mate, and I think a break is worse. youve obviously never done your ligaments then i snapped my ankle in 2 places,was fooking sore but i walked about on it for 4 days before i went to the hospital,couple years later i snapped the ligament that runs over the top of my left foot,was so sore that i had to goto the hospital there and then and it still gives me pain when i move it certain ways and thats over 4 years ago.
