  1. I try not to spend too much time thinking about username's meanings. Jimgers would probably indicate that your name is Jim and you are a good Gers supporter. Thankfully I was lucky enough to avoid 'any' priests in my lifetime - I did spend a little too much time watching The Lone Ranger! My choice of username is now looking like a more appropriate choice than I could have ever imagined! Still, NO fucking SURRENDER!
  2. Better than your own favourite passtime - Carpet Munching!
  3. Well said. That's the real and only important matter. Although it would be good if we supporters didn't slag each other off on here. We should leave that crap to the other bastards.
  4. Hey - my seat number's at Ibrox is posted on my profile. If any of you can spare a minute from Bairds Bar then please feel free to pay me a visit. Especially 'antisoap' - if ever there's been a Kerrydale Street plant on here it's sure to be that wee guy.
  5. Hey - my seat number's at Ibrox is posted on my profile. If any of you can spare a minute from Bairds Bar then feel free to pay me a visit. You might get a nice surprise.
  6. Mind readers? I assume you're reffering to my OP? Please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm pish at mind reading too! The post has been started in good faith and has been written in plain english. I'ts also a little bit better (and certainly more light hearted) than constantly talking about 'BIG' and 'SMALL' tax cases. I find that part of the Forum 'very hard work'. If there's a problem with my posts or the way in which I express my support, then please let me know - BUT - if you do - be a bit clearer when doing so. I don't appreciate snide comments. Is that a decent enough explanation for you?...
  7. No well said by you mate. He is the only person who's going to get us out of it. He's doing what any of us would be doing. I feel like we're at war with every bastard right now and it's time to start biting back! As for 'eating dug' - not sure on that one big man but the King Rib from Azzure Catering has more than a hint of chiwawa in there me thinks! :-)
  8. Having had a digraceful character assasination from all sides over the past 12 months. I would like to propose that it's now time to support our new chairman 100%. I feel that this would be a significant show of defiance against outsiders, whilst at the same time, showing solidarity for the man who leads our great football club. Tonight's STV interview is a big moment for Mr. Whyte. If he comes out of it with flying colours of red, white and blue, whilst having given us the answers we desire. I would like to propose that, from that moment forward, he shall be refered to as 'Our Great Leader'. I know it's a bit North Korean, but they have the biggest army in the world and that's what they call their more respected chairman (wether they're dead or alive!). We are the biggest army of 'football supporters' in the world, so I feel it would be fitting to bestow this title upon Mr. Whyte. I've a strong feeling he'll be coming out all guns blazing tonight and that takes guts. If it works out - let's get right behind him. Your opinions Sirs?
  9. I've got to give it to Goram - unbelievavle keeper. Klos was not far behind though and the fact he left the Bundesliga as a Dortmund contract rebel to join Rangers made me love him from day one. Roberts had a ropey first 10 minutes to his career but was sensational for the next 60! Wee Charbonnier was a class act too... All brilliant in their own ways, but there's only one 'Goalie'...
  10. After Greig and McClelland's resignations on Monday. That evening's BBC News Scotland report stated that: 'Their (Greig and McClelland) resignations from the board point to the fact that there exists a very real risk of Rangers running out of money in the next 2 weeks'. Eh?????????? What have these bastards been smoking? It's those cunts that better watch their cash-flow - I stopped my quarterly TV Licence direct debit right after their report. I 'will' be watching their sordid little expose tomorrow night - but I'll be using 'their' licence fee money for 'my' lager and curry!... NO SURRENDER.
  11. We would keep Ibrox, Murray Park and our club's identity. Nothing to worry about on any of those fronts.
  12. I think we've gotten off to a poor start. Can we still be friends? You seem like the sensible type so I'll apologise for perceiving you to be overly negative and comparing you to a BBC journalist - that was out of order. Sorry. I'm glad that you haven't come back with a vitriolic response. Although I must admit that your 'captain of industry' comment was a bit glib and did hurt - a little! OK - so back to your questions. I'm afraid that I don't have any 'certain' answers. Neither does anyone else. Everything is pure speculation. That's the whole problem. It's also the reason we're all a bit tense... However, here's my opinion: Craig Whyte has not put a foot wrong so far. I feel certain that he'll guide us through this mess. He inherited it and knew the potential liabilities involved before he bought Rangers. He's done the right thing by clearing the decks of the boardroom. It's a pity about John Greig, however, he and John McClelland's resignations coming on the same day is no coincidence. People talk and I applaud him (Whyte) for the covert manner in which he has 'attempted' to opperate thus far. Especially with 2 ex board members litigating! Administration? Well it's almost certain to happen if the 'BIG' case goes against us. Will it be a bad thing? Losing 10 points is always going to be bad but we've got to trust the fact that Whyte is not stupid. He'll already have a solid contingency plan in place and I'll bet we come out of this a better run, more stable and better respected football club. Once he's disposed of any 'potential' indebtedness to HMRC (regardless of its total), I hope that we can then start to vent our anger toward the people who got us there - not to the man who's going to see us through it! I also hope that Bears like ourselves start can start talking football again... On that very point (since you asked so many questions) can you please tell me why Sasa Papac was only given a derisory 12 month contract extension?... WATP!
  13. 1. The OP is a genuine Rangers fan. Fact. Thanks for confirming that by vouching for him. His post had me worried. I'm pretty new to the forum and don't know the OP. I do wish he'd use his obvious intelect more positively. As far as my own waffle is concerned - I apologise. I got carried away last night!... As for me helping 'turn Rangers around' - there's no need. Craig Whyte has done 'exactly' what I would've expected of someone who has the club's best interests as their primary agenda. As for me 'whistling dixie' - no I'm not. I'm pretty good with numbers and I can see exactly where all this is going. In the meantime, I'll just keep supporting the club 100% - as I've done my whole life. I hope you'll appreciate that part of being long winded?
  14. Where are those Russian linesman when you need them? I'm more concerned that McCulloch 'did' score. If he starts on Sunday I'll blow a fucking fuse!
  15. OP you seem like a reaonably intelligent person. So why start an unneccesary thread which is no more than a negative diatribe about Rangers? I feel so grateful to my fellow supporters who have responded to you in a reasonable fashion and who have aired their concerns about 'footballing' matters. Contrary to what you've said, everything is anything but fine with regards to matters 'on' the park. Rangers are very poor from a footballing perspective right now. However, I am confident that performanes will improve. I am sorry to burst your bubble, but you have spouted a lot of ifs, buts and maybees and very little else in your post. My advice to you would be to leave the negativity your compatriots at The BBC. When I see a post as long winded as this, I would normally expect it to be over-flowing with sound deductive reasoning. What a disappointment. I do have one piece of good news for you (assuming you 'are' a genuine Rangers fan). I was personally responsible for turning around a failing business in Sweden some years ago. With an 89 million p.a. turnover and losses which were threatening the business with banktrupcy. What was the first thing I did? Sacked the people (including the entire board) who were responsible for getting the business into that position in the first place. Sound familiar? Guess what? It (the business) not only survived, but prospered. I have a feeling that we (Rangers) are in quite excellent hands at the moment and that Mr. Whyte will already have robust contingency plans in place to deal with any obstacles that threaten our football club. No sound deductive reasoning there either you might say? Well there's not - I'm just going on that good old fashioned 'gut feeling'. Thankfully, I'm rarely wrong in reading these situations and, at this time, have never felt quite so confident about the future of Rangers Football Club.
  16. I agree with The Colonel 100%. I had hoped that the dark days of hoofing it up the park (therefore making ball retention a 50-50 shot) were behind us - sadly not!!! St Mirren having 55% possesion was, in my opinion, majorly attributed to this crap tactic! When will we ever learn?...
  17. I remember my 19th birthday very clearly. 31st of January 1987 - Hamilton Academical & Adrian Sprott - I was sitting right behind the goal in the Copeland Road - British record shut out attained by Chris Woods - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! BOOM! GOAL!!! Fast forward to the 2nd of May and I was happily hanging from the crossbar at Pittodrie as we won our first title for 9 years. Like life itself, Rangers put you up and down like a fucking yo-yo! Don't get me wrong, I went fucking mental when they equalized yesterday - partly because I saw it coming, right from team/bench selection, substitutions, missed chances, lack of ball pressure, lack of shape, too many passengers, Greg Wylde giving me another migraine, and finally, big Lafferty (who was just about to be the only player to gain pass marks for yesterday's performance) keeping the ball in the corner to waste time! FFS!... The big man's meant to be a lifelong Rangers supporter (has he forgotten Panathanaikos (away) in the Champion's League already???)... Hey, but here's the good news - I'd much rather have that 'necessary' pain experience on a day when The Beggars are incapable of making any ground on us. They're 'much' more angry than us that, we 'totally' fucked it yesterday, but they 'still' couldn't capitalize! They are totally shite and as long as this fires us up for winning at Tynecastle and Pittodrie in the next couple of weeks then we'll all be happy Bears again... Let's hear 'your' own 'sour and sweet' moments of being a supporter of the greatest football team in the world. NO SURRENDER!
  18. Agreed - Ortiz did more with his first touch than Wylde had done in an hour. If Wylde keeps starting for Rangers I'll keep wondering why? Id love to hear McCoist's justification for picking that little contract rebel. He's a disgrace. Oh, and if McKay can't make the bench because of the 3 under 21s rule, we need to have a serious look at our youth policy as well as getting our manager a CT scan on his brain... Is Wylde the best youth product we've got??? FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck McCulloch - fuck Broadfoot and fuck Wylde - Replace those 3 (immediate post to follow with suggestion!) We can't afford 1 passenger out of an 18 man squad - let alone 3!!!!!!!!!!!... Rant over!
  19. Too many to mention - but here are the ones that that have caused me to either: A. Spill the most lager or B. Cause serious injury to myself whilst celebrating... I have not included Rod Wallace's league clincher v 'C****c' March 2000, as the painful memories of my ruptured anterior ankle ligament, and being stretchered out of the Keystane in Brigton by ambulance crew, are still too painful to talk about... 10. Cooper (bullet free kick) v Sheep 87' 9. Durrant v Marseille 93' 8. Novo penalty clincher v Fiorentina 08' 7. Laudrup (9-in-a-row-header) v Dundee Utd 97' 6. Gazza ('blonde' diving header) clincher v Great Unwashed 96' 5. Laudrup 2nd against The Beggars when they were homeless and squatting at Hampden 94' 4. Albertz winner at The Piggery building site - Scottish Cup semi 98' 3. Russell v Eindhoven 78' 2. Gough (last kick equaliser) v Scum 2-2 87' 1. McCoist v Leeds (Elland Road) 92'
  20. Playing Hamburg would be great - but not in Decemebr. Last time we played there (Germany) in a December (against Dortmund 2-2) we spent all our Champions League revenue on gloves and thermals for the player!!!..
  21. Can't say that anyone has ever heard my pleas - however, I clearly remember a 'gentleman' (sitting in the row in front of me one day) exasperated at Craig Moore's errant passing - and very near to suffering an aneurism! - standing up during a hushed moment and screaming 'CRAIG - WE'RE THE TEAM IN THE FUCKIN BLUE'. I assume Skippy must have heard - cause he didn't put a foot wrong for the remaining 60 minutes!... :-)
  22. Good point though Colonel. The Wikipedia sight has last May's inductees listed at the top of the list - but 'not' included in the 'actual' list! Cack! Maybe the person who started the Wiki page has snuffed it? Possible vacancy me thinks!...
  23. A great question/thread and I 'have' to go with my gut. My first ever hero was Davie Cooper and I could never betray his memory by naming another - it's an age thing. Just a thought - maybe a thread with your favourite starting 11 would be a better way for supporters to express themselves? WATP!
  24. I agree. Every club has crap players - why fester on them? I won't be putting any names forward for the team I love. However, I am willing to tell you my favourite 'Celic' player of all time - quite easily Tony Cascarino... :-)
  25. Aha! So you're of the opinion that 'they' feed us. Wrong. Scotland subsidizes The UK. That is an absolute arithmetical fact. If it weren't the case - don't you think they'd rather just be rid of us leeches???!!!...
