  1. i must know you cause i do the same And i will probably know both of you and you both I, by sight if not by name
  2. Heres what i wrote on Kenny a few months back. "There comes a time when you have to hold your hands up and say you got it wrong. When Smith signed Miller in the summer, I gave up on going to watch Rangers. I said I wouldn't be back until they were both gone as I thought Miller was a bag of shite and I already despised Smith with a passion. I would say the decision was probably 70 percent protest against Smith and 30 percent protest against Miller. (I have been bad once, but there was a genuine reason for it.) Having no doubt heard our thoughts and chants on him in the run up to the end of last season it has to be said that Millers decision to come to us was the second most craziest move in Old Firm history. It took a very brave boy to put himself and his family in that position of moving back to a "hostile" Old Firm goldfish bowl and overcome the initial booing of his every touch. It would have been easy to buckle, but for me, Miller's mental strength has helped him overcome the rough ride. Now, some might see this as an over-reaction a week or so after he has bagged a couple of doubles but it started me thinking about how he has been playing all season. I honestly cannot remember losing or drawing a game and blaming Kenny for it. He has missed a hatful of chances but they all seem to have happened in games where they didn't matter. What I can remember though is the important and decisive goals he has set up or scored in his second spell at Gers. His doubles at Timmy Park and Easter Road were sublime moments, his double the other night made it more comfortable for us in what was starting to be an uncomfortable match and again yesterday another crucial double to fire us back to the top of the league. Unlike the very frustrating Mr. Boyd, Miller puts in a shift every time he is on the park and you can see he clearly rattles defenders, which more often than not leaves gaps for his big "lazier" partner to nip into and steal the limelight. I also like his refreshingly honest attitude. The other week he admitted he hadn't been capturing his early season form but that he was working hard at training and since his introduction at Timmy Park, he appears to be getting somewhat back to his best. So where does that leave me? Do I relinquish my protest on the basis that I got Kenny wrong or do I continue on the basis that Smith still frustrates the living hell out of me? I think I will leave it until the 30th May to decide on that..." Ive already made up my mind. Miller proved me wrong and im embarrassed of my opinion of him 12 months ago
  3. Probably the least controversial. Im just glad that Gollum, Smith or Conroy are not reffing any of them, though Conroy is 4th official at Mecanno Land. Lets face it, they are both Tims to most on here and both "hvns" to most on Republican Minded. Its the way of the OF.
  4. DUNDEE UNITED V RANGERS Douglas McDonald CELTIC V HEARTS Craig Thomson
  5. As much as i dont like Smith, he has been excellent in all of this. Handing out the fine and i hear a public apology will be made later was the right thing to do and may help reduce any punishment he will get from the SFA. He deserves a ban of some sorts but we should draw a line under it and hope he bangs in the winner on Sunday
  6. I can assure you 110% that Kenny Clark is a Celtic fan. Never believed it affected his performance as a ref though.
  7. Was Bonnie Ginzburgs real name Bonnie ?
  8. Whilst it is mathematically possible that we DONT need to win, we need to set up with ONLY a WIN in mind. We have had to rely on too many sides this season to get us where we are just now. We CANNOT rely on a Jambos side who are effectively already in holiday mode. I sincerely hope the only thing on Walters mind right now is winning 2-0 at Tannadice by attacking them from the off.
  9. McGregor has played 32 games this season and we have won 21, drawn 7 and lost 5 so purely on a points basis(ignoring competition) 70 points from 96 Alexander has played 12 games this season and we have won 11, drawn 1 and lost 0 so 34 points from 36 I thought we had statstics to prove when Fergie dropped we are a better team...but now they mean Alexander is better that Mcgregor.....hmmm.... Not neccessarily but statistics are statistics. You can either ignore them or look and see if there are any patterns. Alexander has been flung in what is probably the most important part of the season and having won 90% of our games whilst remaining unbeaten has to be at least partly down to something he is doing. If we get a decent offer for McGregor then i would let him go, though it is good we have 2 very capable keepers at the moment.
  10. Stats are a bit off. Scottish Premier Rangers 2-0 Dundee United 31-01-2009 Scottish Premier Dundee United 2-2 Rangers 13-12-2008 Scottish Premier Rangers 3-3 Dundee United 04-11-2008 Scottish Premier Rangers 3-1 Dundee United 10-05-2008 Scottish Premier Dundee United 3-3 Rangers 06-04-2008 Scottish League Cup Dundee United 2-2 Rangers 16-03-2008 Scottish Premier Rangers 2-0 Dundee United 05-01-2008 Scottish Premier Dundee United 2-1 Rangers 28-10-2007 Scottish Premier Rangers 5-0 Dundee United 13-01-2007 Scottish Premier Dundee United 2-1 Rangers 05-11-2006 Last 10 games v United we have won 4, drawn 4 and lost 2. Still not great but not as bad as was made out.

  12. McGregor and Boyd sold bringing in £6 million or so. ----------------------------Alexander---------------------------- Whittaker---------Boogie-------------Edu---------------New LB Davis-------------Mendes----------Thommo------------New LM -------------------Lafferty-----------Miller/Novo----------------- Would like to see Edu dropped back in to see if he could play in the centre of defence. He has shown he can time tackles. He has shown he is great in the air. He has composure. He can play the ball on the deck. He has the fitness to get forward but back if we lose possession. I think he would be an excellent partner for Boogie in there. What say you all ?
  13. Yesterday wasnt a 4-3-3. It was still a 4-4-2. However leaving that aside, a Smith 4-3-3 does not automatically by default mean an attacking formation. You can play 4-3-3 but still set up to contain and play on the break or stretch the game in order to try and get midfielders up to support Boyd. Smith clearly didnt set out with that plan yesterday, or if he did, then the players didnt follow him. I dont know which of the 2 above are worse but neither show his management skills in any great light. Its absurd for anyone to say that Smith is a not a negative manager. Watching the dis-jointed team last season struggling because he stuck with his pals brought all the memories of 10 in a row season flooding back. From the highs of Tannadice, overnight, he turned into a manager who is frightened to lose instead of being a manager who wants to win. 10 in a row, Everton, Scotland and the last 29 months have backed this theory up IMHO Lets hope he calls it a day and we get someone in who knows no fear and goes out with the view that we ARE the best and let OTHER teams worry about us

  15. On the other hand, if Hibs win today then both Rangers and Dundee United go into next weeks game with a draw meaning we both collect our prizes
  16. Breaking News...... In a recent online poll, when asked if they would take £10 million to start supporting Cowdenbeath instead of Rangers, 46% of fans said they would. The other 54% lied.
  17. a) Neither was a sending off b) Dougal will not admit TWO mistakes c) Boogies will stand due to b) above
