  1. Well guys and gals what say you?

Similar in many ways, and Aaron is a little younger at 19 vs 22, but Naismith was out injured for quite a while and has still to regain an edge to his play.

Both are tricky, and fairly direct.

Hard to say in my opinion.

aaron clearly has more potential imo. naismith is a cuddly little teddy bear, the boy needs a shot of testosterone. he is burke mark 2. he lacks the pace and strength needed for a player in his position. we will persevere with him for 3 years though then let him go to blackpool or cardiff for free.

  2. i thought edu looked good, a powerfull midfielder who will only get better IF given the chance.

aaron looked decent and seems to have ability - very eager, can't understand why he hasn't played more.

lafferty was frustrating, 1 time out of 3 he takes the ball really well and retains possession but is that enough? i'd love him to do well but imo he will have to make some slight improvements to his game. he isn't that young and he cost alot of money. that being said he has the tools and he seems to have a good attitude.

fleck is very comfortable on the ball and really confident. could be the star man for us very soon if he is not held back or ruined by wally and his stooges. if handled with intelligence he could be a reason alone for going to games.

beasley is a decent footballer, he needs to play a run of games but probably won't.

naismith is burke the second, again i'd like him to do well but i don't think he is anywhere close to be powerfull enough. really lacks speed and strength.

velicka seemed a little rusty but like aaron was eager to be involved. imo he can do what boyd does in the spl for us for less money and with a better attitude.

mculloch looked decent because the centre of the park was not contested that much and the pace of the game was v slow. edu should play where he played tonight with mendes and davis completing the centre midfield.

barry, boydy, broadfoot and miller. better without them.

tonight shows we have an o.k squad but it is used poorly by wally.

  3. we have managed to get rid of 2 players who's attitudes damage the team. boyd can get goals in the spl, but the team as a whole can survive and indeed prosper without him, we will now to be able to play with 11 players for all of every game and hopefully we will play better football. he will get found out in a more even league. fergie is not what he once was, his wages are big for rangers and teams look like they will offer decent money for him - him moving on makes sense in every way. he inhibits those around him and thinks he is bigger than rangers. he should have been booted out two years ago.

if wally is next to be shown the door, be it now or at the end of the season things could be looking up for rangers.

  4. wally 'do you want to move to newcastle, you are stagnating here and we need the money'

baz 'naw i'm the pure captain and that, i'll die in my blue shirt, wee barry armband's here forever innit'

    wally 'please'

baz 'get fucked ya fudd, i call the shots. i'll get my gang on to you, boydy and greeeeegsy will go in a huff an all an we wull get ye sacked like the frenchie'

wally 'sorry barry, i'll never question you again'

baz ' nae bother, by the way sort out a payrise for my pals boydy and big lee.'

    wally 'o.k'

  5. Why do so many fail to either read a post or fail to understand what is said.

What I asked was is he due any praise for the 2nd half performance, not the whole game, not how much he's spent, not being 2nd to Smellik, not whether anyone else gets praised at work etc. etc.

    :rangers: :unionflag: :rangers:

Because some, for whatever reason, blindly hate the manager and would never give him credit for anything, as I said before.

'for whatever reason' - are you actually for real? have you seen what wally has done to the team? million wasted, players out of position, kaunus, behind a joke of a celtic team, fluked his way to uefa final and then humiliated us in front of the whole of europe by playing for pens... etc..etc...

  6. Some amount of bumming up Broonaldo in that piece as well, stuff about fergie is true sadly, stuff about Broonaldo is pish.

As much as I hate to say it Brown is beginning to look like the player we all thought he had the potential to be. The last 4 months he has been their best player. I am sure someone posted on here that someone in his family died just after he signed for them, that's why he was pish for the first year.

I agree with the point that Ferguson is having an adverse effect on Mendes and Davis. The football we were playing in the first quarter of the season with Thomson holding was some of the best since Advocaat. Yesterday Ferguson flighted a cross in, no pace on it and right into the keepers arms. He was running back and he started shouting at Boyd as if it was his fault, Boyd then had a pop back for the shitey cross. Is that a captain?

scott brown was actually terrible in the last of game, his passing was at times shocking. basically he ran around barging people and then afterwards for some reason the no knowledge scottish media led by cretins like keith jackson got it into their heads he had a blinder. i for one am delighted we got thommo instead of him - much better football brain and composure on the ball.

  7. the celtic game was a big game. the others just standard spl games. the fact our support can't see how scottish dross like 'big boydy' are dragging us down to hearts level worries me.

Hearts have scored 20 goals this season.

Boyd has scored 18 goals this season.

Yes, He is most definatley Hearts Level doh

yes but do we rangers to be?

  8. I expect this will be controversial but WS gets lots of stick on here for his tactical nous and general management of the team, but he must have done something right as there was a marked improvement in the 2nd half performance today.

So for once how about some praise for Walter.

    Tin hat on!

    :unionflag: :rangers: :unionflag:

we were playing caley thistle mate. he deserves no praise. kaunus, £20 mill + wasted, cronies always playing, players out of position, still 5 points behind a rubbish celtic...etc etc etc

  9. 20 goals for Boyd this season.

60% (12) of them against two teams in the bottom 3 (Hamilton/ICT) plus one against lower division opposition.

    25% (5) of them penalties.

80% (16) against teams in the bottom 6.

Today won't change the minds of fans that aren't convinced by him one little bit.

i love those stats. sum him up imo.

do you have any stats on how many times his looked hard as nails when he celebrated?

Isn't going on about his celebrations verging upon the point of a witch hunt? As long as the players don't try and provoke opposition fans they can celebrate by stripping naked for all i care.

if charlie scores and celebrates like that you will regret advocating it!

  10. 20 goals for Boyd this season.

  11. Every game in the SPL is a f'ing big game, cosistantly winning 'standard spl games' wins you the league!

it's ironic to notice then that since boyd has played for rangers we havn't actually won the league? when we had mobile frontmen with workrate and basic ball control the team were more effective, we won more matches and then we won the league. yes those forwards didn't score as many as boyd but the team scored more and won more games - is this not what we want? or do we not really care so long as boyd keeps scoring doubles and doing his ' mean as a rattlesnake celebration' ?

Boyd's been costing us the league has he? I've heard it all now!

Mobile front-men with work rate? Like JCD? Fuck! Cancel the transfer. Get Boyd dropped! A Miller-JCD headless chicken partnership is just what we need to win games. Fuck scoring goals, eh?

maybe you din't watch the games in europe last year when our 'tactics' were 9 men behind the ball and punt it up to darch who held it up, worked defenders and gave the rest of the team breathing space? it's funny that we made a uefa final without ever playing krissy god boyd isn't it?

Bar a couple of games we were pish on that run, no two ways about it. Anti-football and pure luck got us to that final, i don't think it would have made alot of difference if Boyd had played on that run or not given how we went about things, defended and relied on luck of counter attacks or penalty shoot outs. Darcheville had about one good game.

i agree that we were pish and a combination of effort and luck got us to the final but let's be realistic - boyd could never have done darch's job. although darch wasn't spectacular in the sense of getting on the ball and scoring goals he was magnificent in terms of workrate, holding the ball up and occupying defenders. boyd can't do these things.

  14. 10 German bombers in the air

    sounded superb (tu)

    Brilliant (tu)

Could live without it to be honest, cringeworthy enough when the English sing it

Celtic games don't decide the title and currently europe is only a bonus.

    Big games

    Hibs

    Hearts

    Dundee Utd

    Celtic

    Aberdeen

Celtic games dont decide the title? They have a big say in where the title goes. If we had beaten Celtic last week, we'd be top of the table......Not 5 points behind.

Boyd scored the winner against Hibs.

    Scored at home to Hearts.

    Scored away against United.

    Didn't score against Celtic.

    Scored against Aberdeen at home.

The 5 big games that you've mentioned, Boyd has scored in 4 of them. But he doesn't do anythingin big games

the celtic game was a big game. the others just standard spl games. the fact our support can't see how scottish dross like 'big boydy' are dragging us down to hearts level worries me.

  15. how he can have the gall to celebrate with such venom when he plays like such a chubby, weak, pansie. as usual we win against a diddy team, fans fav krissy krissy boyd gets a couple of goals and all is well. we did our fans become so apathetic? is this what we expect now?

  16. Another thing about buying youth though; we simply don't have the money to get the ones who you could sell on. Ajax payed what... 10+mil for Klaas Jan? Lyon about 7 for Lloris? And Arsenal payed 5mil for Aaron Ramsey! Pretty extreme examples, but you need some cash to pull these guys in.

Murray Park is where it's all at. (tu)

i agree, but there are also some bargains further afield - e.g farfan moved to psv for a small fee and then sold to schalke for £12 mill, michael bradly moved to herenveen from the mls and then moved to munchengladbach for a few million, brett emerton moved from aus to holland for less than £500,00 and then was sold on for decent money. lisandro cost porto £1.5 mill and will certainly command a big fee when he moves.

  17. Lyon a selling club...aye nae bother

well actually their chairman has gone on record time and time again stating that they are a selling club. diarra £20 mill + to real madrid, essian £20 mill + to chelsea, malouda £12 mill + to chelsea, ben arfa £12 mill + to marseille benzema will go next...

get your facts straight before you dish out smart arsed replies

  18. We can't buy players from South America. The law forbids it. Otherwise we could make loads of money by selling them onto the Premiership.

alot of south americans can aquire either an italian or portuguese passport.
