  1. is this a forum for grown-ups? i am allowed an opinion. i've got good things to say about mendez, thomson, davis, beasley, nacho, miller (as a player), papac, whittiker etc etc etc. if you guys feel that supporting the club means you hero worship everyone who pulls ona blue shirt fair enough. i don't.

smith is making a mess of it again, why is he giving long term deals to people like adam and clubfoot? if he insists on keeping no-hopers then he should only give them 1 or 2 year deals so they at least have to earn their next contract.

could someone also explain the 'honest' thing? kirks ball control is non existent, he's slow and he's reckles but damn you all he will never utter an untruth when he crosses the white line..

  2. LOOK AT WHAT THIS JUMPED UP F***** BASSA HAS TO SAY ON BOYDS DECISION TO QUIT SCOTLAND

    I AM DISUSTED !

    http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/ho...icle1810227.ece

jst realised its in caps soz lol

no surrender hope boydy comes out and bangs in a hat trick at the w.e :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag: :unionflag:

why you so upset? he's right.

  3. this has been a slight improvement but more than anything it shoes just how bad he was last year. his first half performane v fiorentina was the worst display by a pro footballer i haver ever seen. you just don't lose that lack of quality. whittiker should have been given the opportunities at right back that broadfoot has, if he was we would have a replacement for hutton now.

What does that mean?and you didnt answer who should play at right back or who should have replaced Le Guen?

it means he is a poor quality footballer and one or two games where he hasn't been totally rubbish doesn't change that. look how often he misplaced passes in first 30 mins for scotland on sat. whittiker should play right back, his defending isn't brilliant but he's athletic unlike broadfoot and he has good ability on the ball. smith ruined him by playing him too far forward and on the wrong side last year. in my opinion fergie should have gone not le guen but that's another matter. when it was clear that le guen wasn't going to work for whatever reason we should have went for someone like terim or maybe even tony mowbray. now i think michael laudrup would be a good option although he prob wouldn't take it on. in my opinion we need someone modern who will also kick the ferguson posse up the arse and show them the manger runs the team not wee barry sideways. i

  5. From shit to shit is harsh have you ever made a positive post or just something negative

it prob is harsh but is it untrue? you are correct most of my posts have been negative but i'm afraid i can't see that changing whilst walter is in charge. i will end up having to go into hibernation untill he is gone - hopefully for good this time. bringing him back will prove to be the worst mistake murray has ever made. it can only end in disaster with us being left with an expensive, overweight squad full of scottish 'drink together, win together' dross. sound familiar. the guy is prehistoric.

Is KDS shut or are you barred ? :sherlock:

sorry you will have to explain what kds is to me?

  7. kirk broadfoot being rewarded with a new contract is nothing short of a joke and shows how much of mess walter will leave us in. again. just as advocaat had to rid us of all smiths scottish 'tryer's' in 98 the next manager will have to do the same with the likes of broadfoot. let's not kid ourselves on he's any sort of a footballer. is not giving away possession every time you touch the ball or giving away needless penalties an indication of good performance?

the only improvement he has made has been from really shit to shit. im disgusted these are our standards now.

  8. i would say boughera, thomson, darcheville prob was in the mid 90's, beasley, edu, mendez, davis has good stamina, whittiker, miller and christian dailly looks after himself but is too slow.

the rest are lacking in my opinion. boyd in particular is a joke.

it's interesting how popular adam owen is with the players, we are always being told how hard he works them but we don't see much evidence of improved athletic ability on the park. le guens coaching staff were very unpopular yet boyd, adam etc all seemed much leaner than they are now. see what i'm getting at?

  9. guys do you want to start acting like grown ups? you can't call everyone who doesn't agree with you a celtic supporter. if you guys are happy for big boydy to come on against killie at home and score 2 deflections so you can all jump up and sing krissy krissy boyd then fair enough.personally i want to see actuall footballers in the rangers team. do you guys support the team or just boyd?

look at his stats. look at who wants to sign him... something missing? yes technique, ability and attitude.

  10. since you asked!

    mcgregor/alexander - both decent

whittiker - loads of ability and good athlete, needs to play at right back for a run of games

    boughera

weir - great pro and decent guy, although he is a yard or two too slow now

    papac

edu - can't yet judge, but you have to assume he has potential at least

    mendez

    davis

thomson - future captain in my opinion

beasley - doesn't seem as quick as he used to be, hopefully he wil get it back

ferguson - not what he used to be but still a high quality player, just a bad captain in my opinion

smith - just needs to (hopefully ) get fit

hemdani - prob leaving but good player for us overall, didn't sulk when le guen left

    miller

velicka - can do what boyd does for half the wages and he's not a prick

    lafferty - same as edu

darch - similer to weir (not the pace) time might be up, but worked so hard for us in europe last year

    aaron - who knows?!

burke - our best player in champs league against villareal, inter etc but doesn't look like he'll regain that form

adam - got ability, but maybe used up all his chances to show it on a regular basis. fat.

dailly - seems like a great guy just a shame he's not very good at footie

fleck, furman etc - we will never know

big lee, krissy kriisy boyd and kirky - all rubbish but to be fair to kirky his attitude is brilliant.

that's just my opinion and my vain effort to prove i actually support rangers. dissention is not a crime.

    plg for president.

  11. lad's settle right down, it's just banter! is this not a forum for debate? i support rangers as much as you guys that's why certain things about the club or aspects of the team irritate me so much. i pay my money to watch the team and if i like players attitude and they are even just half or a quarter decent i'll give them all my support. what i don't do is hero worship every single person who pull on a blue shirt deserving or not.

if all of you giys gave plg this level of support we could be watching an entertaining young team by now having spent half the money. instead we are stuck with walter and his fuddy duddy ways!

please no-one reply plg gtf, it's boring.

  12. everyone is different and i understand why people will always cling to his goal record but for me i would much prefer paying to see 11 hungry, aggressive players with the right physical attributes,a bit of technique and with one or two football brains in the team as well. if we get that we will win more often than not and i think the number of goals RANGERS score will be greater over all. what other league in the world still has players like him??? a big lump standing on the edge of the box waiting for chances to be created for him went out in the mid 90's, modern football just doesn't do those players. watching decent entertaining football and rangers winning are what matter to me not feeding krissy krissy boyds ego. i think some fans would prefer their hero to score 3 in a 3 all draw than someone alse score and we win 1-0.

the sooner we get shot the sooner we can get on with playing football and winning trophies. even all the will he won't he debate detracts from what the team are trying to achieve. i know barry will miss him but he's still got lee...

  13. anyone else pleased one of their two teams is rid of that fat, lazy, self obsessed, baz snogging, co-op cup, bottom six scoring, diddy? it'll be one of my best moments supporting rangers when we finally get rid of him. a great career at either Preston or if big eck inflicts him on a new set of fans Birmingham. unless of course birmingham get promoted and have to sell him because ferdinand, terry etc have all pissed themselves laughing when up against him.

seeing as thats a question, that is full of falsities, I wont be answering it

Its good that you believe he would fire them to promotion though

haha i'm prone to hyperbole but you get the general point?!

  15. WORST TRAINER

Kris Boyd. He hardly moves, doesn't run, doesn't like doing anything, but put the ball in the box and he will score nine times out of ten. He's one of the best finishers I've seen but in terms of enthusiasm and work rate he's probably the worst trainer.

I don't suppose Fletcher can expect a Christmas card from Boyd now. Thats a pretty harsh thing to say about a team-mate, even if meant as a joke.

Imo it is a sign that all is not well in the dressing room.

A real team does not diss team members like that.

easy tiger, it's on socer a.m every week, all the players from all the teams do it. even ' real' teams like man u, chelsea, etc, etc

  16. £30 million spent, negative football (even in spl), no consistency of selection, players continually played out of position, a squad size that will come back to haunt us next year, his scottish cronies (big lee) getting a game, kirk broadfoot being allowed to play for rangers (he hasn't improved, not giving away goals every game doesn't make you a good player, just slightly less shit), pissing away the league when it was won (so what the fixtures were aginst us, we still should have beat motherwell and not got beat twice by celtic), youth players not getting a chance (did sdm not say this is the future of the club), lack of discipline (why are charlie and fans fav krissy krissy boyd so fat?), kaunus.

yeah let's give him till next year, what can go wrong? watties return, brilliant! the team that drinks together wins together! actually in 2008 it doesn't. can we pull our heads out of 1994 and try and have a forward thinking, modern, entertaining team to watch?

    Paul Le Guen anybody?

o.k because le guen was bad we have to put up with smith forever??? that makes sense, call me crazy but i would prefer a proper manager who can coach a decent style of football and not spend millions to secure the two diddy cups.

  18. since celtic have somehow managed to hijack the moral high ground - no i've no idea either! - and they have also proved they can't take the kind of abuse that football fans from holland to italy to argentina can take, i think a change of songs sung at games is in order. obviously if anything anti-irish is sung parliaments around the globe will stop what they are doing, children everywhere will hide under their beds and the u.n will send in peacekeepers! this being the case the answer is to sing pro-british songs rather than anything that can be accused of being anti-irish. when the last night of the proms was on t.v i lost count of the amount of people who passed negative comment it... surprise surprise they all supported celtic. can't really think why this is, after all most of them have united kingdom on their passport they all enjoy the freedoms of being british, they enjoy knowing that unlike good 'ol ireland our grandfathers fought the nazis and our country welcomed jewish refugees.

nothing would iritate them more than 90 mins of rule brittania, god save the queen, land of hope and glory, jerusalem etc etc. and what could they do about it? who could they complain to? if it's acceptable at the last night of the proms then it's acceptable at ibrox.

i would also like to add i am not a bigot. i am neither protestant or catholic. i don't hate catholics or even celtic really, i hate them in the way a liverpool fan hates man u or boca fan hates river plate but nothing more than that. i am however quite proud to call myself british and no amount of p.c nonsense will convince me this is wrong. i have also noticed a contradiction in the way fans of rangers and celtic are treated in regards to 'sectarian' chants. i think it's good people like rod liddle are starting to notice it, four four two magazine also has a good article on old firm fans in barcelona in last months magazine.

im really confused about the agenda of government officials and media who try to convince us all that this 'sectatrian' problem is much bigger than it really is. it's not like everything else in this country is perfect - knife culture, child poverty, nhs, uncontrolable immigration, sky high taxes, economy, young lads dying in iraq and afghanistan etc etc. for some reason all of these issues are forgotten every time the word 'fenien' is heard?!

the fact amember of the irish government saw fought to involve himself astounds me, is there nothing more important happeneing in ireland? given their record in the 40's when 6 million jews were being murdered i'm confused that they can lecture anyone on racism.

finally to provide a contrast i attended an ajax game and toured their stadium while on a trip to amsterdam, the young lad who conducted the tour was actually an ajax youth player, he told me that because ajax are known as the 'jewish' club in holland feynoord fans wear arabic headscarves and sing 'gas the jews' at matches. i said that's terrible and he shrugged and said ' they are just mocking us, we also sing about their shit industrial city and lack of education, sometimes there are fights away from the ground but it's not so bad'. enough said really.

pro british not anti irish, no-one can complain, no-one should be offended, no problem.

  19. Most vocal part of Ibrox is the Broomloan front.

But Ibrox only roars when the Copland lets loose ;)

yes that's brilliant when it happens about as often as a solar eclipse. the copland road is the cinema/theatre end!

  20. i'm not actually a 'live one' as you put it. not all fans believe barry is a god. 8 years ago he was the best centre midfield player in Britain never mind scotland, to be honest we should have been fighting off £8 mill bids from man utd and arsenal but he made the wrong move going to blackburn and since he's been back he's been a problem. on ability alone he would obviously walk into our team but he has gotten bigger than the club. he inhibits the other players on the park especially midfielders and he can't really compete physically the way he used too, my original post was intended to mean that he get's on certain players back while others (his cronies) get off lightly. in my opinion if thompson and davis continue to improve as rangers players either would be a good candidate as captain, leading by example and encouraging the other players. davis has done well as captain of n.i.
