  1. Well part of that problem is that Walter is supposedly wanting rid of at least 6 peripheal players, but as they are contracted then he can't exactly force them out. I'm sure he probably wants rid of Hemdani, Gow, JCD (?), Burke (?), Adam (?) that is for January, at the end of the season on top of that Weir, Dailly and Smith as well as Burke will be out of contract, unfortunately so will Furman, the first four I can't see being offered new contracts, possibly Smith if he does manage to prove he is going to be fit enough to play. You might also find that the goalie Smith might be allowed to leave with Robinson taking over as the reserve goalie.

Rangers are fully aware that they have a large squad, BUT if a player is on a contract then unless we buy that contract out (again) then they have the right to stay and collect their wages.

With regards to the future, if SDM doesn't give Walter transfer money then he won't have a choice but to start playing younger players, time will tell on that one.

he would rather buy a 32 year old squaddie from dundee utd than give a talented youngster a chance

Who is this you speak of, didn't realise we signed somebody from Dundee Utd?

no-one in particular, but remember bolan and clelland, don't be surprised if lee wilkie is a walter signing. when he's a bit older.

  2. Since 'Walters return' we have spent far more than Celtic on transfer fees and our squad has become bloated to the point of it becoming ridiculous yet they are current champions and still in champions league having got out of the goup stages 2 years in a row.

i've just heard zola say he doesn't need anything like 25 at west ham and that's for the e.p.l. does anyone know why walter needs 30 + for the spl and the diddy cups? we are storing up so much trouble for ourselves and will surely pay for it next season - no euro football and paying wages for about 10 guys who never, ever play plus the transfer fees for the likes of edu and lafferty. i thought this was the new age of prudence, not letting watty the dinosaur piss away money the club can't afford.

this all brings me to david murrays comments on bringing through youth players, i have to agree with him and i think most fans would LOVE to see youngsters get a chance.

there is only one problem - as long as walter is rangers manager no young player will ever get a chance.

the way forward for clubs in leagues like ours is to produce youngster with quality - is it not why murray park was built? - get 3,4 years out of them, get decent runs in europe and then sell them on for huge profit. if it's good enough for sporting lisbon, seviila and ajax it's good enough for us. the sad fact is that under walter it will never happen, he would rather buy a 32 year old squaddie from dundee utd than give a talented youngster a chance. twat.

  3. i would be thinking. why do i move much slower than everyone else? why do i think slower than evryone else? why does barry cuddle lee more than me now? i really wish lee hadn't signed cos i love being barrys boyfriend, who else will eat crisps with me and help me in my quest to drag the club back to the 80's??

Bullshit mate, you don't score 70 odd goals by thinking slower than other players, McCoist always said the first two yards were in his head, Boyd anticipates chances rearing their head better than any other player in our team. Case in point the equaliser in the CIS cup final last year, Boyd had anticipated the dodgy passback, not many players think like that nor do they have the ability to finish it off either.

no he was slow to get himself back behind the ball. all the stuff about us loving him if he was foreign is nonsense. sebo got a lot of support because we like to see players fraft and pu their heart and soul into it for the wages that WE pay them.

  4. I feel he should have been a lot more to the centre, because it was clear the guy was angling for a shot.

Also, McGinn (pah!) I think his name was, woulda seen McGregor covering his near post as he was thinking about hitting it.

McGregor didn't second guess the guy enough for me, shoulda been almost moving for it before McGinn hit the shot.

When the shot was hit (even before it was), McGregor was nowhere near his post. Have a look at the goal again, he's at least a third across his goal, and about 3 yards out. My only criticism of his positioning is that he could have come a couple of yards further out, but he wouldn't have stopped the shot anyway. To be in a position to stop that shot, he needed to be 2/3 of the way to his far post, a position a goalkeeper should NEVER be in. The fault lay in the defensive cover, particularly in leaving the DM position to someone you can't trust to defend a box of Mars Bars ©

Actually, I fully believe we could leave Charlie Adam to defend his Mars Bars :crabs american cousin:

unless hi is a died hard snickers man i would say if there is anything charlie can be trusted to defend it would be mars bars.

  5. would you care to explain why the rangers "fans" (obviously complete idiots who have no love for rangers) at love street at the weekend were calling for boyd at 0-0? they certainly got their wish, and guess what, he came closer to scoring than anyone else on the park

    Didn't score though.

Passed one header back to the keeper, and given the backing he gets from this board, really should be expecting to put that 2nd one away.

I wouldn't play Boyd in that system we played on Sunday, with four CB's and four CM's on the park. If we have a Boydy/Velicka playing, at least one fast winger must also play.

That system stifled the hell out of us.

    We also conceeded as well

    Clearly boyds fault (tu)

I heard a wee rumour that Boyd is also responsible for the credit crunch.

    MONSTER MUNCH not credit crunch

  6. i meant that he didn't try when plg was manager, st johnstone for example.

most of you will disagree but if people like him followed plg's instruction we could be watching a young exciting team now rather than having to spend money we don't have building a far too big and finacially unviable squad just to try and win in scotland.

someone under 25 might get a game too!

  7. As per usual when the team loses some of our less knowledgeable 'fans' shout and scream like kids looking for their favourite toy. you know him, he's the overweight one, mean as a junkyard dog when he scores and a huge gers fan. so much of a fan he doesn't respect the people who pay his wages enough to bother getting fit or trying to compete in difficult games, so much of a gers fan he put getting plg sacked ahead of trying to win games for rangers. you will find him skulking about, mean as a rattlesnake when we play diddy teams. thankfully when we play anyone half decent you won't see him at all.

The next time kris boyd should play for rangers is when we get a lower division team in the cup, he has provn time and time again he can perform against sfl clubs.

Some people will argue that he should play agains lower spl clubs at ibrox.

i disagree on the basis that i pay money to go to ibrox and should not be put through the torture of watching him try to control football, run, challenge a defender or perform a forward roll.

He has scored a lot of goals but the team as a whole could score more goals if he were replaced by someone with more ability. personally i would prefer the rangers team to score 100 goals this season spread about the team than krissy krissy score 60 and the team as a whole only get 80.

sadly some supporters see his goal record as being more important than the team winning. do you support rangers or do you support krissy krisy boyd?

Nobody else wants him. his agent tries to punt him in the summer but nobody would take him, the only club who have ever tried to sign him are cardiff city and even they won't pay more than 1.5 million for him.

can someone please explain to me why someone with his goal record has not been subject to a £6 million plus bid by a club from england, spain, germany or italy???

one final thing is that when he scores a scrappy deflection on the turn when we are already winning 2 -0 at ibrox can you lad's not sing krissy krissy boyd like he's lionel messi? it's very very humiliating. i cringe for you. if you insit on such man crushes can they please be on one of our good players? he's not exactly gazzza, laudrup or cooper is he?
