  1. Alot has been said of late about us now being a selling club, it amazes me that celtic fans in particular talk with glee about rangers selling their prized assets.. who in the celtic team could move to the epl? they simply have not had players like van bronckhorst, arteta, boumsong, hutton and cuellar who were clearly too good for spl football. if they had you can be sure they wouldn't have hung around for long. bellamy summed it up last week when he said celtic could never afford his transfer fee or wages - that must have stung 'look how well run we are' liewell.

What I want to know is who in the world apart from man utd, chelsea, real madrid, barcelona, ac and inter milan and bayern munich (who generally seem to keep their best players) isn't a selling club??

Spurs lost keane and berbatov, Sevilla lost alves, Ajax lost huntelaar, sporting lisbon are about to lose veloso and moutinho, lyon won't hang on to benzema for long. it is a fact of life that 99.9% of clubs lose their best players at some point. even clubs in leagues much wealthier than the spl lose their stars, how then do people expect us to keep top players in scotland to slug it out against hamilton and caley?

I for one have no problem with us being a selling club so long as it is done at the right time and for the right money.

Surely we should be trying to follow the porto, psv, lyon model? Take in young players from south america, africa, asia, australia, the u.s etc who are either not ready to play in a 'major' league or not yet on the radar of the top clubs, achieve domestic succes with them and make sure you always qualify for the champions league where most years you will have a decent run and then sell them on for a profit after a couple of years. add in home grown players to this mix and you have a sustainable recipe for success.

the only problems being the visa situation in scotland - which can be worked around and the fact you need a real football coach in charge - someone who can develop young players and improve them. we can't work around this while wally is in charge.

Does this not make more sense than what we are doing now? haphazard buying and selling, having to move players mid season to make up for money wasted in previous windows?

If fans like me can see the benefits of a long term, realistic plan what the hell are the people who run the club doing? the sooner we get rid of bain and wally the better. we need people with foresight dealing with transfers and coaching the team.

  2. amazing that people on the dole all of a sudden have such an imaculate grasp of business and finance! when you deal in business at the level of mih millions can be knocked of valuations in seconds without it having any real life impact. these people really are clueless.

  3. at 17 or 18 most kids with any abitlity are getting a chance at their clubs - wilshere at arsenal, rafael at man utd, bojan at barcelona. people might say these kids are outstanding and rangers youths won't be this good but these guys are also playing at a higher level. surely we can give ness, fleck etc a chance at spl level? why have people like dailly and 'big lee' in squads ahead of talented youngsters? wally summed it up when he described loy as a 'young player' - he's 21 or 22.

so long as wally is in charge we will never, ever see young players be given an opportunity at rangers.

  4. I know the majority of my posts are met with derision on here but there must be people who were at the game today who agree with the following...

the standard of our football was dire, we relied on a corner to beat a hibs team who didn't turn up, yes they defended in numbers but they allowed us loads of space and didn't press the ball in any area. they didn't even attempt to attack us.

apart from the last 20 mins fergie was very, very poor. demanding the ball only to square it 5 yards, not getting into the box, slowing the game up.

davis is not a right winger. he had plenty of space behind the hibs left back but he doesn't have it in his game to go past people. he has plenty of other qualities that can be used in the middle of the park - he's a great box to box midfielder with good close control and passing, wally is wasting him on the right and imo he should partner mendes in cm.

lafferty is not a left winger. yes he had 1 or 2 decent touches but he cut inside and squared the ball mostly to whittiker at rb every time he had possession. he can't beat someone down the line and his crossing is very poor.

boys was just as bad as ever. where are these improvements his cheering section keep talking about? yes he took his goal very, very well but that aside we were playing a man down. no first touch. no strength, no workrate, didn't win a single header against hogg or jones. people will say he saved us but the same old issues remain - if we had someone decent with ball control and workrate the chances are we would have made more of our possession and the TEAM would have created more chances and been a couple of goals up anyway. we can't always rely on the ball falling to him in the box from a corner etc.

kirky and weir looked decent today but had NOTHING to do. they will come a cropper against a quick striker.

we still need a second forward type. against defensive teams there is not point in miller as he needs space to run into, boyd can score in these games but he has no first touch so we clearly need someone with a bit of ability and touch for the midfield to play off. someone who can find spaces and create things.

a tight game where we are struggling to break down defensive opposition so what does walter do? leaves 3 wingers on the bench and waits till almost 80 mins to bring novo on for miller. like for like.

the whole atmosphere was dire, very quiet and depressing. it is becoming souless at ibrox.

all in all imo walter is ruining the club not just the team. his cronies and negative old fashioned tactics make going to games a chore rather than a pleasure and that is sad. the festive fixtures used to be a real highlight but how many people can say they really enjoyed that today? you look at some of the exciting games happening elswhere and feel really jealous. it's sad to say but going to the game used to be something to look forward to but under walter this has changed for me.

as long as he reamains there will be no excitment, no youth, no passion and no entertainment.

i will not return to ibrox whilst he is still in charge, in almost two years now we have had about 3 entertaining games and it's not like the results have always been brilliant.

what can you say about his man who through his teams dogged refusal to be beaten makes a euro final only to play for pens and embarrass the club in front of watching millions.

  5. gsa your opinions are shit

Over 100 posts in and im still not convinced of your motives

    thats up to you to be honest. my motives are simple, i have only two wishes regarding rangers;

    in order

    1. that the team wins the league more often than not and competes well enough in europe

    2. that the majority of the time i go to ibrox i enjoy the experience and at least 6 times per season i am actually entertained

it's a shame than under wally and his henchmen neither of these are likely to happen, dull games with no flair, excitment or youth and we prob won't win the league either.

    Very good post.

yes! victory! the first time someone on here has ever agreed with me! i'll win them over one by one...

  6. Gsa you're the one who goes nuts at people saying they like the guy, if you don't then thats fine but you have to treat those that do with some level of respect, you can disagree with someone and debate with them without being disrespectful and ranting.

mate if you actually look at it i debated normally with you and he as per usual came in with a comment disrespecting me. he's called me shit a prick etc etc. i'm allowed to retaliate.

  7. gsa your opinions are shit

    (tu) Nail - head.

mate, will you just fuck off? if my opinions are that bad stop coming on threads when i am discussing rangers with other adults. theres prob a junior teddy bears website where you and other kids can go on and talk about which players names you have on your shirt etc. it's been said already on here today you don't know anything about football so why don't you spend some time watching games and come back when you can discuss the game like an adult? your starting to bore me. we all have our heroes - mandela, ali, robert de niro, laudrup, baxter, cooper etc etc. in your case it's cleary boyd and that is great for you but if it tears you up inside to hear him taking stick maybe this isn't the forum for you?

  9. Gsa why is it such a crime to like boyd?

because he is shit for a start. other reasons include his rotten attitude and his 'special relationship' with wee barry backpass.

how can fans forgive him and his gang for their behaviour under leguen? if they don't like the manager they should have at least tried for the fans and the club they harp on about loving. apart from anything else it's a lack of pride. i was unlucky enough to be at the st johnstone game in the cis cup that year and anyone who was there can only come to the conclusion that boyd in particular tried to get leguen sacked that night.

on a more football related note, no-one in the world plays with a big static number 9 who doesn't move and is just there to finish chances. it is much like watty and his 'win together, drink together' methods a thing of the past. people like boyd are a prime example of smith and his cronies dragging us backwards.

  10. find it however you like mate. you clearly have no idea how football agents work. let's wait and see what happens in january shall we? you guys keep saying how fans fav krissy krissy boyd is in the form of his life. both the championship and premiership are very tight and everyone wants another forward so let's see who bids for him? no-one will be more pleased than me if someone is silly enough to pay £3.5 million for that fat lump. i doubt it though.

You do realised that I'm classed as one of the "haters" don't you?

    sorry. we must stick together.

when mcboyd embarks on his vengeful 'leave my big hunky boydy' alone terror campaign we might need each other.

  11. the simple fact is rangers tried to find a buyer for boyd in the summer and they coudn't punt him for 1.5 million.

Let's not let blind hatered get in the way of facts now.

Cardiff had a 2.5 million pound bid for him knocked back because we were rumoured to value him in the 3.5 million bracket.

that's not true, cardiff never had 2.5 million to spend on any player, hence them taking mccormack for free and chopra on loan. i know for a fact that boyds agent was told to find him a club and couldn't. i know this because i know a young player who is with the same agent.

So Rangers made up a story saying that Cardiff had made an offer and put it on their official website for what reason exactly?

I also find it highly unlikely that an agent would openly discuss his other clients situations.

  12. he made out he was taking a big stand against burley but smith never ever plays him in europe or against celtic and he says nothing? why?? because he is on easy street and he like his boyfriend fergie couldn't survive away from the west of scotland.

Theres a difference numpty, he quit scotland and took the stand THIS YEAR, after the celtic/europe matches you talk of.

If you're playing against a Cousin, Hugo Almeida, Drogba or even Rooney though, as a defender you're in danger of getting battered trying to defend.

I can't believe you are rating Cousin in the same sentence as them lot

so if the same thing happens in the remaining old firm games he will walk out on rangers and sign for who??? preston? coventry? tamworth?

    It won't happen though

thanks to dinowalter, and morons like you who obviously need to watch less of rangers tv and more proper football.

  15. lad's why bother with this. there is no chance anyone will bid over £2 million for boyd because he's just not worth it, the talk of him going to the premier league is a joke!

at the pre season game against chelsea it was humiliating watching terry mark him, my gran would have competed better.

kris boyd can play in the spl against poor teams when he is not required to be an actual footballer. yes he can wait around the box and get chances but that's only because he plays for the strongest team in a weak league. no other league in the world has these type of players these days, look at michael owens demise. look at the way real madrid fans are worried about huntelaar because he 'just scores' and huntelaar's touch, movement and strength are 50X better than boyd's.

the simple fact is rangers tried to find a buyer for boyd in the summer and they coudn't punt him for 1.5 million.

he's in a great postion at ranges, surrounded by mates, no need to work hard, get goals against diddy teams and even if the team wins nothing he will be hero-worshipped by no knowledge neanderthals like mcboyd.

he made out he was taking a big stand against burley but smith never ever plays him in europe or against celtic and he says nothing? why?? because he is on easy street and he like his boyfriend fergie couldn't survive away from the west of scotland.

  16. apart from his goal which of course his fan club will point to boyd was disgusting. for a big heavy lump he is such a soft touch, he has no heart at all. rather than punching his own massive weight he punches beasleys weight. his hold up play is atrocious for a supposed top class player. whatever they do at murray park they don't practise their first touch.

I hear they practice spelling though :craphead:

but i wan't them to be good footballers not proof readers...?

  17. we all expected this to happen, we roll over a diddy team like hamilton at home and folk on here get all excited. today shows how silly they are. it is shocking that we can't beat teams like dundee utd on a regular basis. home or away the ball is round the pitch more or less the same size and the rules the same.

we must all accept that under walter smith and his cronies things will never change. no creativity, no excitment, no youth, no width.

  18. some window lickers would be hurt by that. guys i don't really think i'm nostradamus. i was making a point that everyone knows boyd score hat-tricks at home agains rubbish teams. it doesn't change anything and you guys coming on here getting all excited about it masks some very real problems rangers have.

and yes mcboyd i'm taking the piss out of you and you are responding in kind but it is just a forum. i'm sure you are a gentle man in the 'real world' .

I am a gentleman in the real world, i have a monocle and everything :pipe:

fair enough mate. i'm glad you call yourself mcboyd. that's not sad at all. not at all.

Now you are mocking my username doh

    I was originally Rangers1987.

Then i was going to be Mccoist1987, but was unsure as i was thinking of Boyd1987.

    So i became McBoyd 1987.

And GSA? Is that some awe inspiring amazing name?

calm down kid. you don't need to explain yourself to me. lot's of children give themselves names like their fav player.

  21. get him telt mcboaby the guys a FUD!! :pipe:

yeah that was a typing error, mature of you to point it out though, get me told mcboyd, get me told. it seems like you are the voice of alot of people on here. all i can say is you lot and wally deserve each other.

  22. WOW you predicted some of us would come on here and praise up Boyd when he scores goals, ARENT YOU AMAZING?

Sweetie for wee johnny? No? Lollipop instead?

I could quite easily predict now when we lose our next game, people will come on here saying "WALTER OUT" etc etc.

Am i amazing too? :craphead: Do i get a sweetie? :D

you are a joke mate. do you ever watch any football other than our games? you are the sort of guy who knows zero about football. you gettin a wee bit excited because your hero boydy scores goals against total shite?

it's because of moronic supporters like you the 'drink together, win together' culture and 'wee barry back in charge' culture prospers at our club. it's because of guys like you that leguen was hounded out and it's because of guys like you that wally and his cronies are here to stay. cheers mate. i hope you enjoy 3 more years of this agricultural football. even if we don't win leagues and get horsed out of europe every year we will still have the glory days of beating killie, caley and hamilton to look forward to.

  23. if you check the thread i started last night i predicted that we would win 6-0 and fans fave krissy krissy boyd would score a hat trick and cretins would be on here talking up wally, fat boydy and their cronies.

mcboyd in particular has proved me correct.

hamilton are a very, very small club and although they have 1 or 2 decent young players they are really a poor team. not even championship standard.

if you guys all get off on watching guys who earn £10,000+ a week and swan around glasgow in bentleys flat track bullying a diddy team of players who earn -£800 a week that's up to you. it won't cloud my thinking.

boyd is fat and shit. yes he get's goals against diddy teams. is that enough? not if we have any ambitionn at all.

walter is out of touch and is driving the club into the ground.

dundee utd are not chelsea. it shows how low we have sunk that we are all dreading a trip to shitty tanadice. we are supposed to be rangers for god's sake!

Guess the whole SPL are diddy teams then eh

if you have have ever watched an spl game you would know this is more or less true. not really tearing up europe this year are they?
