  1. http://www.rangers.co.uk/articles/20100903/manchester-ticketing-statement_2254024_2144146

TICKETS for our match against Manchester United at Old Trafford have now been allocated through the Rangers Travel Club and detailed communication has been sent to those fans receiving tickets.

The ticketing arrangements for the match are similar to those when the Light Blues played United in 2003 and reflect the club's policies on ticket collection at away matches in the Champions League.

Playing clubs such as Manchester United is what the Champions League is all about and Rangers Football Club is extremely grateful for the co-operation of our fans and supporters groups in preparing for this fixture.

Their valued input reflects their understanding of the significance of visiting Manchester again and the club is making every effort to transport our fans to and from the match as seamlessly as possible.

We are once again asking fans without tickets not to travel to Manchester, which is standard policy for away matches in the Champions League.

For those allocated tickets, all travel to Old Trafford will be under the official designation of the club and all fans will meet at the DW Stadium in Wigan to be transported by coach to Manchester. There will be no exceptions.

    Further arrangements include:

    * Catering and rest facilities will be available to fans at the DW Stadium in Wigan

    * Tickets for the match will be allocated by a club official during the coach transfer from Wigan to Old Trafford

    * Tickets will only be issued to the named recipient on the transfer from the DW Stadium to Old Trafford

    * Tickets will not be issued to anyone under the influence of alcohol

    * Supporters without tickets are strongly advised not to travel

Andy Kerr, president of the Rangers Assembly, said: "It's great news that all the Travel Club members who applied to go to Old Trafford have been allocated a match ticket "

" The arrangements that have been put in place may not be ideal for everyone but, on this occasion, it is necessary to be seen to have done everything possible to ensure a trouble-free trip.

"We have worked with the club to ensure that the measures taken are as reasonable as possible given the requirement for all Rangers fans to travel together from Wigan to Old Trafford.

"I'm sure we will all have a good trip and I'm certain we will all do our club proud."

  2. Fucking annoying and Rangers FC should pipe up about this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly never going to happen! Murray has proven over the years, unless it is a personal attack on him he will stay quiet.

Rangers fans and the name of the club will continue to be battered from pillar to post. Every journalist and politician in this country; and further afield know they can say anything about our club without fear of reprisals.

  3. Judge says it was the worst devastation to hit manchester since the blitz

Forgot about the IRA bomb in 1996 so soon

On further inspection that was truly a ridiculous thing to say!

The city made an estimated £20 million from that day, they made £150,000 their budget to stage it which later increased to £340,000.

How much did they make from the bombings ?

  4. So they were charged with throwing chewing gum were they?

What an absolute cunt of a reply, you're a much bigger moron than I first gave you credit for! Well done.

Not got anything remotely constructive to say so you hit out with stupid questions like that ? You know fine well they weren't charged with throwing chewing gum, it was making a point that sometimes you can't justify every sentence.

This is from a city who's police battered everyone in site and a judge that claimed Rangers fans caused more damage than the IRA bombings of '96 ?

    Get a grip.

  5. If anyone was innocent of course i would but in this case from what i have seen and heard these guys are not. Its the innocent good fans who do not get involved in trouble that have to live with the publicity stunt to continually have to defend themselves after the actions of others.

What would have been your course of action for the day then ? Give GMP free reign of battering man, woman and child.

Why was there no police getting charged despite clear evidence they provoked fans ? The scapegoats have been found and they are paying for it, the sentence certainly doesn't suit the crime.

  6. I wouldn't be confident of getting one! It's a pretty small allocation we'll get. Depends how many travel, although I can't really see them upping the amount of tickets they give us as they will sell their home end no bother.

The Turkish lad that was on here said their fans are camping outside the stadium overnight to get tickets in the home, you could get one from a tout but would pay more.

If you can't get a away end ticket, try buy some home end ones and blag your way in with the rest of the bears. I'm going official flights for this so should be sorted.

    Good luck.

  7. I will be looking forward to it more once I sort out this pish I am doing for Manchester.

Definitely! I would be the same if I could make it.

It's a fucking disgrace, it seems to be their way or no way at all! Bears that have been travelling everywhere for decades may end up loosing out.

Hopefully SD has some good news for you lads tomorrow.
