  1. Well that is my opinion so of course I am going to continue with it.

I don't agree we have a dignified silence and to be honest the only time I have read this dignified stuff is when the tins are lampooning us, ecks comments a few years ago aside

You must be blind if you can't see that we have needed someone defending the fans and the club for years.

There is having an opinion and being on an apparent quest to make your views seem different from everyone else.

  2. The owner is no longer involved so why would he comment on this ?

Walter speaks for rangers better than anyone else at the club. No offence to. The lads that made the banner but seems like this was made before Walter spoke out and was just put up anyway.

Walter would never cause the issues during an international week he was always going to speak out on friday

It is not solely about the McGregor incident, it has been going on for years and we thought we would speak out regarding it in a hope something would change for the better.

What happens when Smith is gone ?

  3. Just a wee update:

The organizer of the original taig driven campaign, Aidan Kerr seems to be unperturbed by all of this.

Here is one of his posts on the Ultras UK forum...He is the user "Greenwhiteandgold"

He has changed the offending signature but still running his mouth.

This is an email to our safe standing campign address...The sad cretins are trying to sign us up to all sorts of Sinn Fein, anti fascist and weird porn lists. The fannies dont realize it goes straight to our junk and we would need to approve the emails anyway, but look at the username/sig

This is what we are dealing with. Any bears that are still on the friends list of the SPL safe standing campaign page need their f*cking heads read.

  4. Terrible. Was he a Union Bear or just a T*rrier that shared the same sort of goals in regards to safe standing areas?

No no, there was no Union Bears involved in any of this!

The grouped toyed with the idea of supporting it and going along with it, untill that happened.

He is some T*rrier looking for a united front, he can fuck off as far as we are concerned.

  5. Joined and left the other group (tu)

    Thank you mate, much appreciated.

A lot of members had reservations when it became apparent that the organizer of the original nationwide, multi-club campaign had a signature on a forum which was an animated picture mocking a well known, recently deceased Rangers fan.

While we are determined to get the ball rolling on the issue, we felt it would potentially finish us in Rangers circles if we turned a blind eye.

  6. What was the orignal idear to just display banners at a random rangers game ?

I think if you inform fans of the benfits of safe standing then they might be more up for a standing ultra singing section in ibrox hope this goes well is there any way we can stay informed of your progress ?

The roar of Ibrox has slowly faded and we feel its time for us, the supporters to step up and rekindle that roar and rebuild Ibrox as a cauldron it once was for our beloved Rangers.

Introducing designated safe standing areas would vastly increase the atmosphere at home matches.

We need all the support we can possibly get here, we have got the ball rolling but we need everyone possible to get behind us. Such sections could mean those of us who stand at games and block your view are out of the way and allowed to do our own thing. This could lead to a change for the better in Scottish football. We will be taking this right to the top, hopefully with backing from all Rangers circles including the club.

  7. I've just read that original article in a little more detail, did Cosgrove honestly say we never accepted Le Guen because he wasn't "Rangers minded" ... please tell me he said it tounge in cheek.

Did he say it on off The Ball? I can trace my steps and check myself as I generally listen to the podcasts anyway.

But if that's how it sounds, then that's one of the most discgraceful slurs on Rangers I've heard. Although, I'm willing to reserve judgement, for a bit until I hear it in the context provided.

It wasn't Cosgrove who said that mate, the quote about PLG was from this weekends The Guardian. There wasn't any attributed author though.

  8. Going from Saturday - Wednesday, staying in apartments right next to the Ibrox bar in Benidorm! Cost us £200 each for everything, return flights from Glasgow.

Should be good, I'm more looking forward to Turkey away though.

  9. I am pleased to announce that we will be running a free double decker bus on the 3rd of January to the Ibrox Disaster Memorial for all members and regular non members.

The more bears we can get there to pay their respects the better.

    Absent Friends.

    That is a brilliant gesture!

    Well done.
