I thought he was very good against St. Johnstone, rather suprised he got dropped after that.
I suppose that's the ways of Walter Smith.
Not playing guys that are injured? Sounds like good management to me....
-
It was definately mentioned during the St. Mirren game that he picked up a knock before that game.
-
That was a good booking to take there.
Motherwell were breaking and breaking quick, better to give away the foul on the half way line.

How Dunga can justify taking Felipe Melo, Robinho and Lucas instead of Ronaldinho is utterly beyond my comprehension.
It's a personal thing between the two, but you'd think Dunga would be man enough to put Brazil's chances at the World Cup over a petty squabble.
I don't like Dunga particularly, and find the football he has his team playing to be rather bland by Brazil's standards, but as far as I'm concerned his determination to cut out the star culture in the national squad is commendable. A player should be on form and professional on and off the field before being considered for selection. Ronaldinho is a shadow of his former self as a player and seems more interested in partying than football by all accounts. Why SHOULD he go to the world cup is a more valid question. I'd like to see him there if he earns his place.
As far as it being weird if he's not there, I'm more bothered by the fact Ronaldo won't be going.
I think the fact that he's argubaly the most on form player in the Serie A at the moment suggests he's good enough to be at the World Cup.

Both Birmingham cb's, in particular Johnson!
He does get a fair bit of praise to be fair but the man is class!
He's blocked more shots, had the most successful clearances and the most defensive headers (I think) of any defender in the premiership!
The guy played for Wycome a couple of seasons ago!

Fabregas is vastly over rated.
Can Fabregas go past a player? No!
Can Iniesta go past a player? Yes!
Does Fabregas pass sideways most of the time? Yes!
Does Iniesta pass sideways most of the time? No!
Can Fabregas finish? No!
Can Iniesta finish? Yes
Seriously?
Thats actually a load of shite.
Fabregas has the most assists this season so that dispeals the fact that he only passes sideways...
Fabregas is the top scoring midfielder this season so that kinda puts to bed the fact that he can't finish...
He can also go past a player just as easily as anyone.
I don't know who you think you've been watching but it's not Fabregas.
I'd probably say Iniesta is the better player overall but it's by the smallest of margins. I'd even say if Fabregas was in Barca's team just now and Iniesta was in Arsenal's the result of the poll would be waaay different.

I honestly can't think of a goal we've lost due to Weir's lack of pace.
For a typical centre back Weir isn't even that slow! CB's are rarely overly quick, Bougherra being an exception.
Today showed me how unsettled the defence looks without Weir. Both Bougherra and Wilson switched off at times and Weir rarely does that.
He's the captain for a reason.
Weir and Bougherra is the partnership that won us the league last season and has gone a long way to securing the league this season, Wilson has been a bonus.

He was actually off the park when he scored it
Davis is the stand out player in Scottish football by a country mile!

Keane is a talented player. The fact that he is about to sign for Celtic isn't going to change that.
However I have a serious question RE Robbie Keane.
Celtic are bringing him in on loan, but they already have three players on loan N'Guemo, Kamara & the Dutch full back?
Portsmouth are another team with a stack of loan players (5)
My question is this: I thought there was a restriction on the number of loan players you could have? And if so does anybody know what that number is?
I thought this as well.
N'Guemo is the only 'long term' loan, the other 3 will only be half a season, might that get around any restrictions?
-
People keep saying we have cover, but we have no back up if Davis were to pick up a lengthy injury.
McArthur isn't the best player in the world but he's a decent SPL player and would add a more attacking threat to our midfield.
He wont be expensive and we cant afford to bring in a foregin player that might not adapt, any player brought in must do a job and McArthur would do one.
-
He's the type of player they've been looking at and if McDonald goes then they'll be looking for a forward.
Just have to wait and see.

I'm sure Hitzelsberger has been told he can leave Stuttgart.
I'd be shocked if we could afford his wages though.
-
So because Svensson was poor this guy wont be good?
His stats arn't fantastic but stats are hardly the be all and end all. Plus he's only 21, can he not improve?
Written off already! Unreal!

Algeria down to 10 men and Egypt have a pen...
1-0 Egypt.
-
He might as well win it now.
He wont be back any sooner if they get beat here, I think there is a third/fourth place play-off so he's playing another game either way.

NOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure McCoist said he was there cheering on the lads.

Hearts are unbeaten in 7 (8 now) and are a good defensive outfit. I don't think the fact the Nade got sent off hindered them at all as he's a useless lump anyway.
We were without out 2 top scorers along with a massibe bunch of our creative players. Against a defensive team like Hearts we were always gong to struggle to score.
However, at Ibrox I'd of liked to think he would have had a bit more of a cutting edge...
-
The lad is rapid. Can control a ball, actually has a go and can beat a man, and has a very good delivery on him!
He's also not scared to put it about. IMO, he should be played on the left of midfield, as his defensive side of the game isn't all that good, but it will improve.
I guess thats why he's being played at left back, to get him to improve on the defensive side.
He certaily looks like what we've been missing, a bit of pace and ability on the left hand side.
His delivery was pretty poor today I thought, although I know he can whip them in.
-
People keep saying rank rotten Hearts team but they are a team that hadn't lost in 7 and are typically a strong defensive outfit.
Without our top 2 goal scorers and creative players then we were always going to stuggle to score.

Just because Boyd loves Rangers it doesn't mean he isn't allowed to explore all options open to him.
If Aston Villa are really interested, a club going well in a league much stronger than ours, why shouldnt he be allowed to at least listen to what they have to say? He'd be daft not too.
I'm pretty confident he'll stay, he's just having a look at all options.
-
Elfideldo's covered pretty much everything I wanted to say
Do people think its easy to just produce players of a high enough standard to play for Rangers?
-
I don't think Robinho has the work ethic to play for Barca.

Essien against Barca last season was a cracker too.
