  1. Yet another massive own goal by the club doing this. They're not just shooting themselves in the foot, they're blowing it clean off.
  2. He's the go-to useful idiot at Pacific Quay for our boardroom's expensive PR man Jack Irvine.
  3. You can't expect that though because when they finally come out it's a stick-on that there's going to be more questions than answers. That was certainly the case the last time a set of accounts were published, so given the level of scrutiny of our situation now (which is only to be expected after what happened last year) and the mistrust a lot of fans have, then it's a certainty that the accounts won't bring any sort of conclusion to all this. Nor will the AGM.
  4. On Thursday 8th August, they told a large room full of fans that the accounts were due mid September, but they were going to try to have them out by the end of August. That was over 7 weeks ago. The end of August has passed and mid September has passed. We're now at the end of September and supposedly being told they'll be out by 10th October which just happens to be the last possible date for them before a 31st October AGM? Is it just because it's a Friday that something smells fishy?
  5. Happy to wait for the accounts? I'm waiting along with thousands of others and the clock keeps ticking. The accounts won't be irrelevant when they are finally released, but when will that be? The new deadline or another new one after that or another after that? I don't have a pre-emptive verdict, I just don't trust our boardroom and I don't like the way our club is being run by these people. If there had been trustworthy ownership and a good boardroom in place for the past year, then I seriously doubt that even one, never mind BOTH of the Easdale brothers would have been appointed to our club & company boardrooms while they actually only own under 5%. In fact, I have doubts as to whether they would even have acquired the shares they have done at all. I'm fine with innocent until proven guilty, but nobody can force anyone to trust people who their instincts tell them not to trust and my instincts told me not to trust Green & his cohorts right from square one last summer. I didn't even trust them BEFORE they got the keys to Ibrox and since they did, there have been a hell of a lot more negatives to speak of than positives, while absolutely nothing has been done which would make me want to trust the people still in the boardroom since Green & Ahmad slipped off camera to hide behind the scenes. So, let's be clear... There is no "pre-emptive verdict". It's simply total mistrust of the people running our club and the holding company which owns it. I can't trust one of them. Not a single one. Why should I? Because someone on a messageboard tells me to wait for the accounts? Yawn, jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way....
  6. I posed a simple question, but because you have clear agendas of your own you try to make it about me having an agenda? Nice try!
  7. So you know the difference between hay and straw, but you don't know what the Stockbridge scoop is? Gotcha!
  8. I wonder if the Stockbridge scoop is related to Leggo's SFO claim last Friday?
  9. I'm all for it, but safe standing areas using the rail seats have been a talking point in Scotland since Dec' 2011 when Doncaster and the other trumpets at the SPL first gave it the green light. About half of the SPL clubs were interested in December 2011 when the story first broke, including us (you can just picture top spiv Whyte going "aye, nae bother, hahaha!!"). With the amount of interest, the Safe Standing Roadshow came to Scotland about 6 or 7 weeks later and as it turned out, it came to town and visited Ibrox the week before Craig Whyte put us into administration. It's now almost two years later and still none of the clubs have done it, probably in most cases due to the installation cost. Back in 2011 you were talking about just under £100 per seat just to buy the seat, but with stands requiring modifications to the terracing steps or in some cases ripped out and completely new terracing steps built for the rail seats, it's obviously not as simple or cheap as clubs and SPL suits had first thought. 10. Not sure how many he sold, but the announcement about it was just to say that he'd dropped below 3% shareholding because there needs to be an announcement on the stock exchange whenever a sharholder moves above or below the 3% level.
  11. The Flamingo Land man Gordon Gibb turns out to be the former chairman of Hamilton Accies and also former Chairman and co-owner of Bradford City. Interestingly, he got involved in Bradford City after the club had gone into administration in 2002 and after leaving 18 months later his pension fund had bought the club's Valley Parade ground for £5m and he then rented it back to them. As far as I can tell he still owns Bradford City's stadium as mentioned by bradfordloyal1982. I got the rent figure wrong though. In 2011 I think it was only about £400k p/a.
  12. Just looked it up. Gibb's pension fund owned Valley Park and were charging the club £1.2m a year in rent. Do they still own it then?
  13. Don't think it's linked directly with Green, so the Yorkshire location must just be a coincidence....
  14. The fact that it's in North Yorkshire is probably just a coincidence, but I wonder if Charles Green has shares in Flamingo Land?

  18. Club Statement Written by Rangers Football Club RANGERS Football Club has tonight released the following statement: Rangers fans are now aware of a Court of Session action brought by the Club’s former Commercial Director Imran Ahmad and in response has released the following: “Mr Ahmad’s lawyers have lodged his summons at the Court of Session. This is simply a procedural step which the Club anticipated. The Club’s lawyers are of the view that his claim is unfounded in fact and in law and is likely to fail. “They have advised the court that the claim will be defended robustly. Mr Ahmad’s claim is for £500,000 in alleged unpaid bonuses and not the sum previously claimed in his pre action correspondence which was in excess of £3 million.” http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/5167-club-statement
  19. I would have thought that the 2.2 million shares he got for hee haw would have been a big enough bonus.
  20. We'll never be 100% unified Scotty, but if we could at least find some common ground on the subject of being abusive to each other, it might be a start!
  21. Nacho, could you PM me your email address or phone number (or both) please mate. My fellow Gersnet admin Craig out in Bermuda wants to order a load as stocking fillers for Xmas, but he's not on RM and asked me to get a way he could contact you. Thanks!
