  1. I've had a change of heart: Up to a certain point I was willing to give Mather a chance, but now I'm of the opinion that he can leave along with the rest of the board. Bringing back Green, then giving Toxic Jack a new PR contract, then sanctioning the intimidation of Rangers fans with threats of legal action and grassing fans to the police for organising protest meetings are not the actions required of a Rangers CEO who will help take us to where we should be as a Club.
  2. I doubt very much if they'll be liquidated never mind just vanish. It's a stick-on that they'll be rescued from oblivion. What would the Pars fans do if their club just vanished? Start supporting The Blue Brazil along the road?
  3. Some actual information........... Sandy Easdale acquired 2,125,000 shares on 10 September to take his shareholding up to 2,842,957 (4.37%). That transaction was a purchase of 2,125,000 shares from Charles Green (the cheeky chappy who got 5 million shares for hee haw). That means that the majority (75%) of Sandy Easdale's shares are actually shares which have never given the Club any money or certainly no money worthy of note because even if the 1p per share had ever been paid, it would only be pocket change.
  4. Peach of a goal. We'll get offered good money for Lewis before we even get back into the top flight, but we should tell any clubs sniffing around him that he's not for sale. He'll be worth big money if we play our cards right.
  5. You keep telling yourself that. One or two fellow dreamers might join you in the shared fantasy as well.
  6. Anybody who thinks that just because 'only' a few hundred were chanting "sack the board" at the game today actually indicates a poor level of support is either kidding themselves or trying to kid others. When was the last time you heard hundreds of fans doing that at an away game? The fact of the matter is that matchday protests against your own Club's boardroom is something which would normally only be done at home games because it's just not really appropriate to protest like that and chant about stuff like that in another Club's ground. A lot of fans who actually support the protests in general would have been uncomfortable with chanting "sack the board" at Somerset Park today, but it doesn't mean they don't want to see changes in our Club's boardroom. The protest today probably wouldn't even have been as big if it wasn't for the Club calling off the home game next week, but they did and today's game was on Sky, so it was probably a 'plan-B' of sorts for a protest to take place today.
  7. Hey, is that the original Pierre that was banned?
  8. French translation for Seb & Bilel ...
  9. Regarding the centre-back positions: I think we have a potentially perfect partnership with Faure & Mohsni and I'll be extremely disappointed in the manager if he doesn't give that partnership a proper chance. Both players are French born with French being their first language, so there is no issue with a language or communication barrier between them. They are clearly both very good players, so I see absolutely no reason for not trying to develop a strong partnership between them. The opportunity is so perfect that it would almost be a crime to NOT give that partnership a proper chance. Faure came from a great youth system background, having spent his whole youth career at Lyon and he was being honed into a future French international, having played well over 40 games for the French international youth teams between 2007 & 2011. If we keep him with us and give him the games and experience on our journey back to the top flight, then when we're back up there he could potentially start to get French call-ups and caps which would leave us with a very valuable asset. If it was up to me, the lad would get a new 4 year deal and be getting a regular game at centre-back for us instead of Jig. Mohsni doesn't have the same youth pedigree as Faure, but I've been impressed with most of what I've seen from him and it's easy to see why he was plucked from the depths of part-time lower French leagues 3 years ago to move to Southend and play for Paul Sturrock. Over the past year or so, there's been some quite big clubs sniffing around him and taking him on trial, including West Ham and Birmingham. West Ham even made Southend and offer for him which was rejected! So there we have it... two French gems who could be our perfect 1st choice centre-back partnership and have great potential sell-on value if we need cash when we're back in the top flight. If Ally doesn't see that golden opportunity and nurture their partnership, he and I are falling out!
  10. Have to completely agree with you that this is embarrassing and should definitely not be happening D'Art. It's yet another new low for our Club, although having thought about it for a bit, it's actually only a notch down from what's already been happening. Toxic Jack was already feeding McMurdo exclusive information on behalf of Green, Ahmad, the Easdales & the Club's board. It's been happening for months. However, looking at the big picture for a moment, there are now several concurrent problems and issues on the subject of statements and PR. Firstly, this statement is nothing more than spin doctoring from Jack Irvine on behalf of the directors trying to save their jobs. Secondly, it's highly debatable whether spin doctoring from Jack Irvine or Media House on behalf of these directors should even be ON the official site because the official club website is not a propaganda weapon for using in a pre General Meeting PR war. Likewise with the stock exchange statements. Some of these have been completely embarrassing and should never have been released in the form they were, with snide wording attacking respectable businessmen and well known Rangers fans. The important point here though, is that some of these statements or in some cases, certain sections of particular statements are actually NOT representing our football club or the interests of the club at all. They purely represent the interests of certain individuals who are taking liberties with official club statements to further PR agendas of their own and shareholders they represent, all with Jack Irvine's help. The Club website needs to be a place where ALL fans can get relevant information and current affairs articles for the club without being served up spin doctor tripe from Jack Irvine on behalf of individuals. Perhaps some people within our club have finally said enough is enough and put a stop to the Club website being abused. The statement attacking fans and talking about fans being reported to the police for arranging protest meetings which was released last Friday should certainly have been a catalyst for the Bears in our Club's media department to say enough is enough. Personally, I hope their PR war spin is permanently relegated to McMurdo's blog because that's where it bloody belongs!
  11. Absolutely, but if it's genuine then the email from Ian Hart certainly casts 'reasonable doubt' on that particular claim in the statement.
  12. In the board's latest statement it said: A leaked email tonight would suggest that it was actually Ian Hart who negotiated the settlement agreements for both Green & Ahmad. http://t.co/M5OX3PzF5w
  13. Despite the numerous attempts to smear him within our boardroom and from the board's PR rats, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Malcolm Murray STILL has more credibility and respect in the City of London than Mather, Stockbridge & the Easdales all put together.
  14. I've made my points perfectly clear and they make sense. If you need a bone speak to Magic.
  15. Read the statement again and pay particular attention to the last paragraph. Whoever wrote that last paragraph should be sent packing along with those who authorized the statement's release. In other words, Toxic Jack and the imposters in our boardroom should be nowhere near our Club.

Write it off as easily amused.
  17. Who was that? That's the most ridiculous concept getting thrown around just now (apart from the daft notion that our current board are good for the club and worth keeping). Don't speak unless you can prove what you're saying!!! It's like something out of a Monty Python script or a Fast Show sketch.

  19. There's no point in us continuing to argue about this because we'll just go round in circles. Just reminder that "resistance is futile".
  20. We need to include disclaimers like "almost certainly written by Jack Irvine" in our comments these days because we live in times where the men on the board at our Club are using Club cash to pay lawyers to start threatening fans for online comments. When you see words like "seemingly", "apparently" etc etc it doesn't necessarily mean there's any less truth or worth to what is being written.
  21. I'm sure the men on our Club's board, their PR rats and their legal eagles all have Malcolm Murray's various telephone numbers for direct communication if other methods can't be trusted.
  22. Yes and it's also an embarrassment 'unbefitting' of the board of our Club. They're wasting god knows how much cash paying multiple law firms to scuttle around threatening fans and fans' forums based on 'defamtion' laws, then the turn around and start bordering on breaching defamation laws themselves in official statements? They're a fucking joke and a total embarrassment to our club.
  23. The last paragraph is a disgusting way for the board (on behalf of the Club!) to speak about the former Chairman & Director in an official statement, but as I've said already, it was almost certainly written by Jack Irvine and not the board themselves. They will probably have approved it though. They should keep their petty slanging matches to private correspondance. It's also extremely hypocritical of them to use the word "unbefitting" to describe others when their own actions are unbefitting of directors on the board of Rangers Football Club.
