I Have just got back from the game tonight. Spent the last few days in london with me old west ham mates. The best & most evil atmosphere i have experinced in the last 30 years following football. Possibly the most hated derby in british football. Because they only play each other when drawn in the cup.

I Always thought the undertones were shit anyway, I remember a few years ago out on the piss in london, one friday night, And who do we see busking on the tube, fergal fucking sharky, He was not impressed with our " Your not famous anymore " chant. t**g cunt.

Forget every other over hyped derby, apart from us & the tims. This is the 2nd most hostile match in the uk. I was born in east london, and went to a west ham v millwall match in 1978. I was only 13, and i have never been more scared at a football match than this one. I remember the first millwall fans to be escorted down green st from the tube, at least a thousand of them, with a mob of a thousand west ham waiting for them at the north bank entrance. It was carnage outside the ground, and inside the ground, on the south bank. It was the first time a police helicopter was used at a game in the uk. Southern softies my arse. The only local derby where the teams are separated by a pipe ! ( The rotherhithe tunnel )

I would take a punt on rob jones, if the price is right. We have not got much money to spend next season, so getting a proven spl central defender for under a millon, would be a good buy. Long gone are the days of signing players like butcher, gough & numan etc etc for big bucks.
