jackal and the day late rhebel stirring again.
CaptainofIndustry replied to bawsburst's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Don't shareholders deserve reassurance in the face of constant media scare stories though? This is why we need a competent PR/communications function, something we've always lacked. -
I'm there, dudes

Put the youngsters on hold for now ?
CaptainofIndustry replied to tannerall's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
In which case, our squad of 55 paid players could be shrunk by more than 50% and we wouldn't even notice it. -
I plan to join Rangers Chat more often. I feel the need to unload...

Radio clyde statement to be read tonight
CaptainofIndustry replied to RockingRod's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Imagine a Bear blogging about Celtic being an abomination of a club which employed men who raped innocent kids and whose ground was used as a vehicle to raise funds to facilitate the murder of Catholics in Northern Ireland. If Celtic issued a statement objecting to this blog, would Delahunt read it out in full while Spew Keevins praised VB's work in highlighting incidents of double standards in the Scottish media? -
Latest from VB: Dingwall, Hacking and The RST
CaptainofIndustry replied to Virtuoso's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I can confirm that's exactly how it happens. I helped to introduce a new member just a few weeks ago. -
Latest from VB: Dingwall, Hacking and The RST
CaptainofIndustry replied to Virtuoso's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Sterling defence of himself from poor, innocent, put-upon Mark. One question he hasn't answered, though: if he did nothing wrong and was in fact the victim not the perpetrator of hacking, why on earth did he resign? Anyone? -
Latest from VB: Dingwall, Hacking and The RST
CaptainofIndustry replied to Virtuoso's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
According to the RST's Christine Somerville, normal practise is for the RST to advise their members of new appointments and departures from the board at the AGM only. If ever a well-intentioned organisation lost its way completely, it's the RST. What a self-deluded mess it's become. And Graham Wallace sought the counsel of these people? Oh dear. -
Latest from VB: Dingwall, Hacking and The RST

Let's not forget, when this story first broke, MD appeared on FF and tried hard to blame VB and Jack Irvine for spreading malicious lies. Nice try! VB has every right to publish this account of a very bitter, damaging public fight between recently departed RST board members and the Rangers support has every right to know all about it. -
I really would prefer not to say any more at this stage. Suffice to say if the stories I've heard are even partially correct, there's been a significant amount of self-interest on display with scant regard for the financial health of the club.
-
If the true story of McCoist's recent exploits ever becomes public knowledge, let's just say he won't be remembered with too much respect by Rangers fans.

In that case, "Out of Africa", "1984" and "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" are all anonymous works as the writer of each book used a pseudonym.
-
Spot on. Plus his, "Oh, we need cuts to the playing squad? That's news to me and to a lot of other people" after several months of a vicious battle for control of the club over the state of the finances was just embarrassing.
-
Excellent point. Far too often, Ally treats the support as if our heads fasten with Velcro. He has to stop it or people will lose respect for him.

I didn't understand that claim. The piece wasn't anonymous, it was written by The Ref.

The 120 day business review
CaptainofIndustry replied to CaptainofIndustry's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
So your analysis of this thread is it's either "Ally out" or "Wallace out", you're not sure which? Very incisive. Thanks for that. -
The 120 day business review
CaptainofIndustry replied to CaptainofIndustry's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I know, in't it terrible? Imagine a 4 page thread leading to implicit criticism of our faultless management team. Scandalous. Honestly, I should be banned or else RM should be closed down and replaced with a site full of pics of Ally's greatest goals. -
The 120 day business review
CaptainofIndustry replied to CaptainofIndustry's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
We all know it's McCoist who's making these decisions. Every time anyone tries to stop him (Green, Hart, Stockbridge) they leave the club soon afterwards. That's why I'm increasingly convinced this 120 day review will have no real output, other than some minor tweaks spun as tough action from no-nonsense GW & his trusty sidekick, and will gradually fade into nothing.
