  1. "If you look for an excuse, you will find one" comes to mind.
  2. Aye, it is ridiculously early to write off someone who hasn't had a pre season and hasn't played in about 8-9 weeks at least. He wasn't good today, no one was, but he was brilliant last match, should've been saved for the second half while we're getting him up to fitness.
  3. Think of how much it would cost to buy him out of his contract, then, even if we could afford to, how much a new manager would cost in terms of wages. Who would come in knowing that they'd be earning less than Ally, and knowing they can not change the squad, and will be slated after one bad result?
  4. Really can't believe what some idiots are posting in this thread. :mervan:
  5. Meant to reply to your comment and accidentally approved it, but again, either you're a troll, an arsehole, or you know nothing about football.
  6. Hope that's meant to be sarcastic really.
  7. I have nae money as I was unemployed until yesterday, so had to settle for watching on TV. Lowest attendance I've seen in a long time, can't really blame people for not going though.
  8. Yeah, that's fair enough man. I like Salim and I don't think he deserves half the stick though, the running about impresses me as we don't have many other players putting in that level of effort, I think he would come good given a chance. Bartley, had a brilliant run in the team I think it was a couple seasons back at CDM/Sweeper and I've seen him play well at CB, in the past few games his blocking and tackling has been superb, but from the CB area when playing as a RB, which is very annoying. I'd like to keep him as back up, he is maybe our level, but not as a first team player right now, but if Goian or Boca got injured or suspended I think he'd plug a gap nicely.
  9. Agree with everything said there. I don't see how they could be any worse than what we have, and even as subs, would surprise the opposition as they are unknown quantities.
  10. I'd love to see Johnny Russell in a Rangers shirt in all honesty. He looked like everything we have been missing.
  11. I agree completely with the top point in all honesty, but it's getting boring calling for the managers head and making him a scapegoat in this situation.
  12. Because as I said, most fans change their opinion when everything is going well. Who wanted to sack him after the 4-0 win against Hibs?
  13. Healy, Kerkar, Bartley, Little, Broadfoot, Papac was your list. I would keep Kerkar, as I think he's promising and looks like he wants to play. I'd like to keep Bartley, just not in the right back position, he'd be brilliant back up as a CB. Papac is away regardless as he is retiring, so that's null and void. I'd get rid of Healy, Little I think needs chances so I'd loan him out (but I think he got hired just to plug gaps because he is a utility player), Broadfoot would go. To that list, I would add Jig to get him off the wage bill, McKay if he isn't getting played, Ortiz & Bedoya, Wylde I'd take whatever money we get, and depending on the CM situation, I'd maybe loan Ness out or give him a few games.I'd maybe even lose Lafferty to fund another more appropriate striker. I hope when the tax case is gone, we can afford an overhaul.
  14. Lee Wallace I believe was a replacement for Papac, and McCoist doesn't want one sitting on the bench, that is a problem I agree. I think Wallace is good. Don't slate Mervan after one performance, don't you realise how long it has been since he played competitive football? Everyone was singing his praises after a promising performance last week, now he starts and isn't entirely fit, as well as playing in a place he can play, but said he is better elsewhere. Give the guy a chance.
  15. Precisely that top point. I agree with most of the bottom part too, although there are a couple players I'd add and a couple I'd take out from your list.
  16. Given the players he had to replace, over the course of this season, I think more than 50% of them have come good. Bocanegra, Goian (maybe aside from today), Aluko without a doubt, and Lee Wallace. Mervan needs time. Look at the amount of dross we have bought in the past decade in comparison.
  17. I will never concede the league until it is mathematically impossible. I don't think getting rid of Ally is the solution.
  18. I'm not pointing the finger at fans, we are not to blame for the current mess, not in the slightest. But a certain segregation of supporters, will change their mind on Ally on a game to game basis.
  19. Fuck sake man, not even something to take notice of. Tongue in cheek joke about a club he was loyal too. If a former bear did it we'd be applauding, calm down.
  20. I think he should've been saved for the second half given his current situation, he looked promising as a sub last week.
  21. I don't think anyone would in their right mind, take the job right now, even if they were out of work. McCoist should shoulder some blame for what has happened yes, but not be made a scapegoat.
  22. So we are going to get someone else who would manage a team they can not change in this current situation, who will take the wages McCoist is on and have very little job security? People need to stop pissing their pants every time there is a bad result and look at the bigger picture. McCoist should shoulder some blame yes, but not be made a scapegoat.
