  1. Not even on a very dire bench yesterday, I think it's a lost cause.
  2. Anything can happen in the last five minutes of a football match. I wouldn't miss potentially seeing Rangers put in a goal no matter the score for anything, however I live pretty close, and don't have kids or anything.
  3. Supporting two teams. Rangers, and whoever is against Celtic.
  4. Having a tear in your eye at the Champions league tune at Ibrox while the teams line up, is one of my favourites, but my best memory was, as a ballboy, walking out of the tunnel at an Old Firm. That is something that will live with me forever, or a goal going in against them right infront of me.
  5. I have my own answer. I am a Rangers fan because it's all I've ever known, chose Rangers as my team even though my Dad is a Tim, lived near Ibrox at the time and went to matches with my Grampa since I was younger. I've always worn a Rangers top, and I always back the club 100%. If Rangers are in the equation, I want what is best for them, and when I can afford it, I buy a Rangers top and try go to games. I believe, regardless of anything else, a Rangers fan is someone who sticks by the team, and the club, 100% and always has.
  6. Our debate was just a difference of opinion though, this is generally me just wanting to know what people believe makes someone a Rangers fan.
  7. Not in relation to our debate on the last thread. Just got me wondering as to what makes someone a "real fan". I like to know people's opinions.
  8. I thought I'd make this thread, just to see what people define as a Rangers fan. So many people on this forum, appear quick to call others out on not being real fans, or say they are a tim, for a simple disagreement. My question is, what is your definition of a Rangers fan. What makes someone a bear? Someone who buys the shirt every year, a season ticket holder, Someone who spends a lot of time on here and news sites finding out about the club, Political beliefs, or something else? Just a general definition, would be pretty good, to see if people have the same opinion or not.
  9. Your answer says it all. I am, and have always been a Rangers fan, accusing people of not supporting the team is daft as fuck, and very low. I studied journalism (granted, I don't write about sport), but I know that this is how journalists work, it is not being "biased" - well, not in this article, it is more about getting people to read the article. No-one, aside from Aberdonians, gives a fuck about Aberdeen Football Club, yet putting Rangers in the title, will immediately make everyone read it. Obvious is it not?
  10. I think a very similar physique, and similar playing style, or stance when running with the ball. Miles apart though, of course.
  11. Anyone with any intelligence would read it knowing that there are two sets of supporters at a "Rangers match", and be open minded. So don't try play the "more of a Rangers fan for not knowing how journalists write" card.
  12. Like I said, Rangers are the bigger team. 'Rangers match' if anything, would be bias in our favour, as they are deeming the other team irrelevant. The big team sells the papers. If it was Celtic, it would say Celtic match, if it was Liverpool v Wolves, it would say Liverpool match. They never put vs in a headline, just the bigger team, or the word SPL if it has no old firm team - or Old Firm if it is an old firm game.
  13. The article shows no bias whatsoever, it doesn't mention either team, it mentions a disturbance. It is only a lead, wait until another article comes up before playing that card.
  14. Decent player with decent potential, offers us something different and is nowhere near the finished article. I fear he never will be at Rangers, as we always slate wingers here, remember Chris Burke? Couple mistakes and he was out on his arse (although a bit injury prone too). I think he offers us something more than what we have, and I'd like to see him stay and hopefully be allowed to develop. But he reeks of John Fleck, too much hype and pressure that he may never get the chance. I think I'd bite the hand off someone offering a million for him, and try throw in a sell in clause for when he gets his Charlie Adam move.
  15. Couldn't have said it better myself. He hasn't put a foot wrong in all honesty, and has been impressive when we have seen him.
  16. One part I disagree, is the part about Ally having "the goodwill of the support". So many people have been on his back every time something has went wrong, and even before that.
  17. I also likened him to Zidane, but like I said, not in skill, he is obviously nowhere near as good, not many players are. However his height, and his skilful yet clumsy demeanour, show similarities.
  18. It is a Rangers match. Forgive me for maybe naivety. Rangers at Ibrox, is a Rangers match. Rangers are the bigger club, it sells papers. If it was at a Celtic v Aberdeen match, it would say 'Celtic match'. It is how newspapers etc sell. It is called Sensationalism, making the most of any story.
  19. It's not a provocative act for them to travel via subway, however, I know they would have tried to cause trouble, which would be provocative, yes. I don't think they should have been allowed to travel alongside Rangers fans, the authorities should have known better. However this story did not say "Rangers fans arrested" like the OP said before he changed it, it was both sets of fans, like the article said, that isn't biased. This is an unbiased article. This particular one isolated article.
  20. Hasn't been given a chance. We haven't seen enough to judge, this is why every player who doesn't score a hat trick or an overhead kick is judged a flop here. Too much pressure.
  21. Same haha, just in case you thought I was being a diddy.
  22. I personally think he has been brilliant in the past few games. Plays for the jersey, puts 100% in, and has a clumsy yet skillful trait about him that seems to make teams underestimate him. Keep slagging him off, he will prove everyone wrong. :Kerkar:
  23. I meant the article was unbiased and the OP was trying to make it look biased.
