See, I dont subscribe to that always being a good thing. We would loan them to a "lower level club", but, what kinda of guage/learning experience is that with a view to playing for us? About 80% of the players we sign from teams in Scotland at a higher level are classed as "SPL pish" and not good enough, so, the fact a youngster plays ok at that level means... what exactly? Examples Gow, Adam, Broadfoot to name but 3, and, people generally seem to subscribe to the "they have found there level" or "were never good enough". Being able to drive a 1 litre fiesta doesnt mean you can drive and race a Ferrari does it? The only way we can find out that these lads can play for us, is by actually seeing them play for us. How many people when they start driving will drive a Ferrari first? As I said in an earlier post, the expectations upon our players is a lot greater than for other clubs, but at the end of the day 1st team experience is 1st team experience. We bought Thomson, Whittaker, Boyd, Naismith because of what they were achieving as 1st team players at their clubs. Those 4 players are exactly what we have to accept or not They are 3rd and 4th rate footballers with limited ability and technique thats a fact
