In some instances mate alot of it has been paper speculation. Because we have bid for player X and never got him it doesnt meant that player Y is further down the list. It could be that player X has become availiable. As an example here Kenny Miller has become availiable but we had a set budget for him. Say we bid 650k and its accepted then we pay him 20k p/w for 3 years you are looking at Miller costing well over 3 million pounds all in.
For a 32 year old that is not worth it imo and a player like Goodwillie would cost round about the same with a massive sell on value.

'we are rangers, we'll be getting xavi and fucking alonso i heard' all that shite. we are a small club now in european football terms, we are still a selling club, we may have one of the largest fan bases in the world, but in actual monetary and quality terms we are small. we need to learn that until we get out the spl and into a european league, we will continue to be so. we are not trying to sign players to win the champions league, we are signing players to win the spl and just qualify.

Whilst I'm absolutely delighted to be 2 - 0 up at half time (and comfortably so), I think we have been slow, ponderous and devoid of ideas. Don't know if you will agree, but I think - as a team - we look collectively unfit. Naismith looks as if he is labouring and the rest look way off the pace. Can't help thinking if we were playing a better team we would be in trouble.
Sorry if that sounds a bit unfair, but I believe that we have some problems with motivation and commitment. Anyway, here's to another 2 or 3 in the second half and a win - no matter what!!
