  1. i seem to remember players saying (prior to the current league set up starting) that it was so boring playing teams at least 4 times a season. i realise we play 5 teams 4 teams the now but they r the top teams so isnt as bad. with the new 10 team league what will happen with 4 or 5 weeks to go and the teams from 7th to 4th have fuck all to play for? whos gonna want to c that shite?? i think the split is better than what they have planned even though it is a mental system. it gives teams a top half finish to shoot for and means u r playing more even matches towards the end of the season. but id go for a 16 team league, obviously only playing once home and away. allow our reserves a chance to play in the lower leagues (like they do in spain) i for 1 find it hard to afford too many rangers games but id easily pay money to watch our youth take on teams in the lower leagues.
  2. tremendous! great post. that nyt is what football is all about. i was in strathclyde union watching this. the result and the 12 hours of 99p drinks r stuff dreams r made of. i managed to lose (and find) my phone twice that nyt. the dj asked us to "please not sing rangers songs at the bar" every1 to a man was doin the bouncy and singing all sorts. brilliant nyt.
  3. My bet would be Wolfsburg cos Steve McClaren is there and r they not best buds from England?? But Beckham would be a revalation here. Ive been saying for ages we have no imagination and a real lack of ability when it comes to free kicks. It seems every team i watch on tv has at least 1 guy that can stick a free kick in the top corner or do something creative apart from us. Also would Walter not have been at Man Utd with Beckham or had he left?? Along with Sir Alex possibly having a word in his ear about coming up here for a few months. We have a chance of actually getting him if Rangers actually push the boat out. But will most likely not even bother trying.
  4. apart from the obvious ones i always loved Lovenkrands 92nd min winner in the 03 cup final against septic..... Rob Mclean (i think): And Rangers had a real strong claim for a penalty.... McCann's cross!.....LOVENKRANDS!!! HE'S SCORED THIS TIME! AND HE'S WON THE CUP FOR RANGERS!
  5. Yeah this is y we didnt play him even though we had fuck all forward thinking players at certain points that season. I think he could play in cup games and it didnt affect the appearance money but it was that long ago i cant remember exactly. Always remember thinkin surely it would b better to play him in more game and allow him to help us win the league etc than to dingy him so we didnt have to pay feyenoord the extra 50p they probably wanted.
  6. Thrilled that the gers look likely to soon have proper finance and clear the debt but ive been wondering what Ellis' role in the consortium is. From what i understand he placed a bid months ago and Murray knocked him back. Now Whyte turns up (a multi millionaire rangers fan and business genius) with Ellis and all seems peachy.... If Whyte has money and business sense what is Ellis doing here??? Anyone able to clear this up??
  7. The prospect of Bigfoot at the back with Weir scares me even more than putting McCulloch there.....
  8. Think rfc52 means this guy....... Dylan McGeouch a 17 year old.
  9. did i not read somewhere that Walter never put Webster in the champs league squad? or was that somebody else or just bullshit? on the plus side though Perry or Hutton has to start on Saturday which is the only bonus you can get from this situation.
  10. he went to Real when they signed Ronaldo, couldnt really fit into their system and think he wasnt used to not being the biggest fish with Ronaldo getting all the attention. Also had a good few injuries and a fair bit of bad form. Im sure he is currently injured but not sure when he's back. Think Walter should get him on loan in jan.
  11. Naismith didnt do anything wrong at all. The keeper made a balls of it and punched the ball into his own net and hit Naisy on the follow through. The terrible decision will no doubt get about 2 lines in the press and never mentioned again where as a complaint would already be on the SPL's desk if it happened to septic and the hot topic in the daily rags. No one likes us and we dont care.
