To be fair to KB, he never said Miller is a Rangers man, he stated that a £7k wage reduction would not be accepted by a Rangers man, never mind any other player.
Rangers cannot hold onto players now - simple. I wondered if it was Walter Smith who vetoed an improved offer for Kris Boyd as he did not value his services but Walter values Kenny Millers' services and still we are
offering shit wages.
Why should Kenny Miller stay at Rangers? Would you stay with your employer if they asked you to reduce your salary by a third?

If we were decent enough to offer him a fair contract it would have been signed by now . I don't believe there is a player out there ( rangers man or not ) that would accept a £7000 a week pay cut .
He's probably known for a few months now that he wouldn't get the contract he deserved and his form has been fine . So all this push about him not trying is utter bullshit !

Why oh why does everyone think that signing goodwilie is the be all and end all here . Even if we don't sign him , there are better players out there for the same kind of money .
And if we do sign him , i doubt he will perform .......................... With so many folk stuck up his arse !

I have to disagree here papaguy . IMO we should only be looking at the next six months . Winning this league title is hugely important for the future of the club . Come next season , the takeover may be complete and we may have more money available to us . But on the other hand , it nay not . And for that reason we must make sure we win the league .
I totally agree that a player like goodwillie is a far better prospect for the future , but I firmly believe we should not look any further than this season .

no one knows that I'm afraid , apart from kenny himself . I would hope that it wouldn't effect his performances and I honestly think kenny is a 100% kind of guy . But it's a hard one to tell .
I'm not totally against him leaving , I just worry about getting a replacement . He is a big player to lose at an important time in the season .

KB the thing is we are and we also need the money all be it 600k and millers wages but if that can get us his replacement then we should be happy with that
I agree to an extent here , but the way things are going , we are still a bit away from meeting utds valuation . And as I said in an earlier post , if there are other clubs interested whose to say we will definately get our man .
The last I heard , we had no money to sign anyone .
I just don't feel comfortable losing our top scorer at a crucial part of the season when it's not a certain that we will replace him .

They would probably put some of the transfer fee towards his wages. It probably won't happen but it was only a suggestion.
I understand it was only a suggestion . But to many folk on here are so desperate to get rid of him , they forget the amount of money were paying the dud . Celtic are probably the only other team in Scotland that could pay his wages . As I said , unfortunately he is out of utd price range .

We must have had 700k in the first place if we were able to bid for Goodwillie. Throw in Webster and they'll surely accept.
any why exactly would Webster leave to play for less wages . He can leave in the summer and get himself a big signing on fee somewhere else aswell remember . It's not as easy as just punting him into any deal we want . We were paying 5 - 7 grand of his wages last season most probably . Utd couldn't afford him unfortunately .

Well in kenny miller . Great news if true . We should be happy if we keep hold of what we've got . He's our top scorer and that kind of goals are priceless in this title race .
And for all you muppets boo hoo hooing about not getting that fud goodwillie , we were never guaranteed to sign him anyway . If it's true that there are a few teams interested , it's more than likely that the could blow us out of the water wages wise . And whose to say he wouldn't turn us down and chase the money elsewhere .

As another poster said , why can't we sign him in the summer when he only has 12 months left on his contract .
If we keep what we've got , with jelavic coming back , we will win the league . Kenny can shoot us to the title , pocket us another 10 - 15 million and leave with my best wishes .
And by the way , if we miss out on david goodwillie , so be it . There are better players out there for similar money if you look hard enough . Why all of a sudden has eveyone jumped on the goodwillie bandwagon .
