Unpopular opinion (?) - Butland should have stepped out and attacked the ball over the top. When the scorer collects it JB is more or less on the 18 yard line and then he back tracks to about 8 yards out before he is rounded. If he takes a step or two out he closes the scorer right down and gives Davies half a chance of winning the ball if he doesn't. Instead the guy is in the clear and gets it properly under control. If we're vulnerable to ball over the top - 2 in 2 games now scored from the same pass more or less - JB has to start covering the centre backs arses. In no way was the goal his fault but its a weakness that PC has to address and a keeper who can anticipate and cover these would not hurt.

Huge opportunity passed up to lay down a marker for the cup final and get us right back into the title race. Lets hope we get some players back fit and absolutely rag doll these wankers all over Hampden.

I'm not his biggest fan but as a Scottish produced squad player, hitting his prime years (just turned 28), who is in and around the Scotland squad, it probably isn't the worst investment. He's the type who moves on and steps up to the next level so on that basis I'd have him.
