  1. I think if you leave at 12 Noon tomorrow, you're fucked, the game will be finished a long time before that ! (ha, ha, shite joke I know ! ). Anyway, seriously, if you leave Glasgow, by car, at noon TODAY, you will be in Manchester by 5.00 pm at the latest, even allowing for a couple of piss stops, don't worry. Greater Manchester Police will be doing everything they can to keep the motorway moving quickly so relax, you will be in the city centre in plenty of time to enjoy the event. Enjoy it !!.
  2. sgiend,,,,,,,,, pissshhheddd Manxbluuuueee frae thge isle o mannn hic !
  3. Cooper - I sense a kindred spirit here ! - although the fact that I am sitting in an airport car park in the Isle of Man, more than half way to being completely pissed may have something to do with it !! actually, the airport car park is about 15 minutes drive from my house - but - I am so worried about missing my plane to Manchester I have bribed Airport Police and security to let me sit here all night getting very quickly pissed and they are going to wake me in the mroning (8.00 am) so that I can get my plane !. I think I may be going insane - but - being in Manchester today until sometime later in the week it's just something I have to do !. I hope my dear departed Grandad (William Watson) who died suddenly a few days before the 1972 Cup Final will be watching down and smiling. I'm sure he will. . . . . . Take care Mate.
  4. Jammy Bastards !! - See you about noon today !!! - YYYeeeeehhhhaaaahhh !!!.
  5. Cooper, my dear brother - you are not alone !. Many of us suffer this affliction, and, whilst it is surely a burden, it is a burden I am happy to bear !. Just as the sore arm I will endure on 20th October in Mission, B.C. hauling countless Salmon out of the Fraser/Harris Rivers ! - love Canada and will retire there, hopefully in about 8 years time. I will have another glass of the "Monks Wine" and think of you. Keep smiling my friend - you are not alone !.
  6. Haha, good one ye! The easiest 20 quid that guy has ever made - if he remembers!!! Set your phone alarm! Have a great one manny Cheers Chris ! - fuck it's cold here now, and, I can see some dark figures moving around the car park !!. However, perhaps that's the "BUCKFAST - THE DRINK OF KINGS" - kicking in !!. And, it's ok, I spoke to the Airport Police when I got here and they said if I left my car keys with them, I could get pissed in the car and it wouldn't be a problem !. Although, they did say I had to buy 3 of them breakfast at 8.00 am when they go off duty - a fair swap I reckon !.
  7. Girvan - you should have came to the Isle of Man and slept at the airport car park - only half the distance to travel tomorrow ! (oooopppssss ! - I mean TODAY ! ). Can't wait for ma plane !, I'm beginning to helucinate with the stress and excitement !!!. Magic !!! - Come on the Teddy Bears !.
  8. Used to stay in Perth (Huntingtower - opposite the Cattle Market) 6 years ago, loved it, exccellent city and had the best disco in Scotland (showing my age now !). Can't wait, can't sleep, fidgeting, sweating, pacing up and down the car park - MAGIC !!.
  9. Lets just hope he injures himself "arse-shaving" - well, it had to be said !.
  10. My flight leaves from the Isle of Man at 11.40 am tomorrow, I'm in the airport car park now, in my car on my laptop !!!. Shitting myself in case I missed the flight. The security guard is going to wake me at 8.00 am (cost me £20.00) but worth the tip !. Can't wait to see all the Rangers support in Manchester - good luck to us all, and especially Walter and the Men !.
  11. Didn't I read that there are maintenance works being carried out on the train tracks and that they will stop at 10.00 pm on Wednesday and re-start at 5.00 am Thursday. Alternative buses are being laid on at Pacidilly Train Station to travel to the Airport. No problem getting into the city centre but it will be bus journey from the train station back to the airport any time after 10.00 pm. Im sure I read this on one of the UEFA 2008 web-site. The only effect will be a slightly longer journey back to the Airport (where I will be sleeping on the benches or floor waiting on my flight home at 8.30 am! ).
  12. Signed - Big Mark fae the Isle of Man !.
  13. Not Ronaldo from Man Utd, the Brazilian one ! - searched google but can't find it and appears that the current record holder is a bloke - however - I am certain that Ronaldo had a girlfriend who was the world record holder - can anyone help with this ?
  14. Cheers mate. Sorry to hear about your wife. Life can be cruel. I do agree the crime rate is good for bringing up kids, but I always felt that Manx people were quite parochial and that if I had kids, when they got a bit older, I'd prefer them to get a bit more culture and be near a city. Manchester's iffy for me now, but I live in hope. However, victory is the priority. I'll be happy however it comes, wherever I am. It'll be great to see it happen and go ahead on the Euro trophy count in Scotland. I think Cup Winners and UEFA trumps Cup Winner and Super Cup for Aberdeen since the latter is a one off game. Don't worry about the wife, she was a Fenian Bitch anyway ! (only kidding sweetheart X.) If you knew her you would realise she would find that funny !. Sure the Manx are parochial, but, only about 40% of my kids classmates are Manx !. And, she travels back to Scotland maybe 6/8 times a year to see her Mums family (and mine). As for culture, she speaks fluent Manx, and she's only 10 !. How much culture do kids in UK schools get (especially large inner city schools ? - fuck all !!) teachers to busy looking after the non-english speaking kids (one of my sisters teaches in a school in Cheshire and is totally pissed off with the whole situation). Anyway, enough of the rant ! - hope you make MaDchester - if not, I'll have a pint for you ! Cheers.
  15. How about a rendition of "Blue Moon" seeing as we are at Man City's ground - a sort of thank you ? I think they would appreciate that. Quickly followed by : Are you watching feenian scum ? (for the remainder of the evening !!). Don't think we can do that one due to UEFA rules. Nothing wrong with the word fenian surely (Irish warriors and all that ?) Or is it the word "scum" that would be the problem ?. How about "are you watching fenian shite" ?. Or do UEFA have a problem with swearing ?. I still say " Blue Moon " would be a nice touch !.
  16. Well I suppose everyone has different ideas of what they want from where they live. The IOM does get a bit miserable in winter, sure, that's why there are so many alcoholics here !. I was born in Fife, left home at 15 and came here. Worked on the building sites for a couple of years and then joined the Poice. Left here in 1990, went to live in Glasgow (which was shit - just my opinion) 3 cars stolen in one year and constant fear of being jumped when walking around at night. Came back here after my wife passed away with my 5 yr old daughter in 2003 and haven't regretted a minute of it. Im 42 now so the "night-life" is not of any great interest now (been there, seen it all !). However, there is nowhere else I would live now especially bringing up a young child on my own. Like everywhere else, the IOM has a level of crime, but, compared to UK it is virtually non-existent. We have the occassional murder but they are always "domestic" or friends falling type of killings. There's plenty of money sloshing around and in my business (building contractor) if you work hard the benefits are superb. Getting on and off the IOM can be expensive, but, when I travel overseas, I can fly to Glasgow Airport for a connecting flight from here faster than my family in Scotland can drive to Glasgow Airport. So, its not such a big problem. Anyway, Im starting to waffle now because Im fucked !. Oh, before I forget, my last girlfriend (South African) who is now back in Johannesburg - spoke Aafrikans and Dutch (or Flemish or whatever its called !). It was mental listening to her on the phone when she called home !. Take care - and enjoy MaDchester (if your'e going !) or even if your not.
  17. nerve would be away b4 the pens mate lol Don't worry, the alcohol will see us through !!!. Novo would be one of the first 5 penalty takers, not 9th, 10th or 11th. Unless he hits the first one, both teams miss 3 penalties and it goes back to the beginning again. Dont think I can handle another penalty shoot out, 3 is more than enough in the one season Eh, yeah, Im perfectly aware of that ! This was my "dream" scenario, a great game followed by an excrutiating penalty shoot-out which went on for ages !. Hence the need for copious amounts of alcohol (e.g. Buckfast/Absynthe mix 50/50) being my favoured tipple. No problem buying the Absynthe but the Buckie is proving to be a bit of a problem at the moment !. Heard that there's an "offy" in Moss-side that sells it but I think I will give that one a miss !!.

  19. Doesn't Ronaldo's girlfriend hold the world record for "keepy-uppy" ?, I'm sure I read that somewhere. (seriously)
  20. Cheers. But thanks to BBS for finding the info - see you in MaDchester !.
  21. Nope, that's not correct - look at the message from BasileBoliSoup which confirms.
  22. Thank fuck for that ! - I thought I had imagined it ! - cheers for the effort, much appreciated.
  23. Fuck you arsehole !. There's something wrong with you people. Who, the Manx ? - no arguement there from me on that point, I'm Scottish, but the Isle of Man is far, very far, from being a "shithole". I hated it. Nothing to do, few decent pubs to go to. I had do talk myself out of a job in order to get out of there, else pay back the relocation. I was working with a bunch of social incompetents, yes manx. The Scots, Irish and English and some of the Manx were fine. Unfortunately, I got landed with a pair of Manx clowns. Hope I never see the place again. So what can you do where you live now that you couldn't on the Isle of Man apart from skiing or going to Ibrox ?. Get direct flights to anywhere in the world, pop into any of several cities for an afternoon/evening, see new people and not the same old faces in the same pubs and everywhere else, visit museums and get a decent choice of gigs. What did you expect coming to an Island of about 80K inhabitants, mostly over 50 yrs of age in the middle of the Irish Sea, maybe you confused it with Bermuda ? I suspect you just didn't like the night-life and didn't get a shag !. Surprising because the place is full of sluts - that's why we have no prostitues - the women give it away for free - except - of course - my sister, she is a good girl and only got pregnant by sitting on a dirty toilet seat !. Anyway, sorry you didn't like the place, but I do (especially not having to pay a single penny in Income Tax - fucking excellent !). Maybe if you visit again, you can get in touch and I will show you around, there is plenty to do and loads of great pubs and clubs, you just need to know where to go. See you in MaDchester mate - have a good one.
