Rangers will have the chance to beat almost every team in Scotland (the exceptions of those suffering relegation as Rangers are promoted - so we'll miss a few). Is that no a pleasing thought? Might even meet the likes of St Mirren, St Johnstone, Killie, and (if there is a God) Aberdeen in Div1. Just passing on the way up. All this culminating with the inevitable hammering dished out in Parkhead. Tell me that isnae divinely fucking beautiful.

The biggest irritant for me is the papers, blogs and the rest of Scottish football constantly referring to Rangers as Newco or Sevco. I know it's Rangers, they know it's Rangers. Why the bullshit?

Fair point. I cannae think of an argument that could win out over the bitterness, but maybe time will help.

From the short time I've spent reading these forums it seems that many of the posters believe an influx of Cellic fans have been posting on the wind up. Statements like "a fuckin hate roman catholics" do appear a bit conspicuous and probably intended to be damaging to the forum.Having said that throwing slurs at anyone you disagree with in order that your bigoted, compartmentalised mind can rest comfortably is a convenient and predictable strategy employed by more than a few people here. It's easier to dismiss opposing viewpoints than engage your brain in reasoned thinking. I agree entirely with the RST statement. Hibs fans are suffering from the paranoid belief that the Div1 route is in place to appease Rangers. I'd take any excuse to forget the hideous football that's been played at Easter Road this past year or two if I was one of them.

This system appears to work quite well in other countries. I'm all for it.
