  1. Agreed, but I stress the word caution, and reject "worried" "panic" or anything of that nature. One thing we could really do without just now is have our fans in the anti-Green camp. The news channels have already got hold of a bunch of people and edited their interviews to make it look as though we're not happy with this guy. I'm cautious myself, and you will all probably see me slating the guy by Christmas, but I want him to save Rangers in the meantime so I'll hold back any negativity for the sake of not being a panic merchant and looking too far ahead of myself.
  2. Caution is the word. We shouldn't be condemning ourselves to death over him making some cut throat decisions at Utd. IMO, fans are going to be fucked off with this guy because he will most likely run our ship much tighter, but that's the price to pay for our survival. If player sales are what we're worrying so badly about, then a few members should rethink their stance on other bidders, because they would likely have done the same thing.
  3. I love how people are latching on to the opinion of a couple of Sheffield Utd fans on internet forums complaining about a guy who sold a couple of players so they could avoid being wound up. I forget, however, that the mhanks, rhecord, and even our own supporters are much more qualified to chose our new owner for us over D+P. Forget all this negativity just now, let's address that when the big black line is drawn under this sorry saga.
  4. Souness? He did mention him. Must be on his radar. Would Walter consider a chairman position?
  5. Getting the sponsor free l/sleeve. Waiting til release cause ill probably be an xl boys haha. Getting 12 on the back obviously!
  6. If he wasnt confident, then why would d and p have given him the keys. Scaremongering to incite the fans who use newspapers and the news as their only resource base, which is no fault of their own.
  7. It would push us to the absolute brink, but I don't think it would. Agree with you though. Hopefully we won't be having these discussions after June 6th. I think a CVA is going to be attained. As I said previously in this thread, admins have been in almost daily contact with HMRC, so they must have a rough figure that they're looking for.
  8. There's a difference between a disaster and extinction though, one that anyone associated with our club should do well to note.
  9. Excellent idea. Means there isn't going to be a monopoly over us, and one man can't destroy us ever again.
  10. Haha, fuck it mate. Let's take everything from the bheggars from this day forth, starting with their colour!
  11. Definitely the most important issue. But we still exist in a newco. Very tough life if sanctions go against us especially. Could well see bottom 6 finishes for a few seasons at best.
  12. It's essentially the same thing at the end of the day. With Miller, he planned to run two companies keeping one in admin to sort it out. With Green, his consortium will fund us until we get the CVA and through summer, but if the CVA is rejected, then it will likely be the same asset swap and liquidation of oldco (Leeds Utd route) that Miller's plan B would have been, had his CVA been rejected. Green is obviously confident enough his CVA bid will be good enough. Admin will have advised him based on what HMRC have told them. There's no way 20 guys would form a consortium and part with cold hard cash unless they knew a deliverable CVA was probable. If it gets rejected, well, it will be tough, but we will still, and always be the Rangers, just playing under a newco.
  13. Sportscene opened with Green speaking, then the Rangers game Btw, to the poster who said "Green said we would have no debt ever again" - You were right. He DID say that. Spoke fantastically. Let's hope he delivers
  14. 3 years ago we were touching on £40M debt and still spending money. Also EBT case coming to the fringes of the news. 1 year ago we had £18M debt with STC and BTC, putting potential debt anywhere near £140M. Yesterday - In administration, buy the club for nothing (£2 if you believe the news), offer creditors £8.5M to pay off debts, if they refuse, asset swap to newco and debt free. Simples. We are a much more attractive business acquisition now BECAUSE we are in administration and have potential financial gain through our consistent success as a club.
  15. We would keep the whole team on quarter wages, but that's not really up to us at the end of the day.
  16. Not a great attitude towards 2 guys who took paycuts to keep our club going GS
  17. Hopefully he will stay true to his word and listen to offers from us before anyone else. Obviously not asked of him, but I think he wants to be here. Seems to be close with Edu and Bartley.
  18. I know it's severely early days and saving the club is the most important aspect of the next month or so... BUT... It is of the utmost importance to any potential success that we have next season and for many after that, that Sone Aluko is signed up on a permanent contract. This guy has the potential to become a GREAT Ranger. The way he plays football, the way he conducts himself and his attitude to football and life is beyond excellent. I for one hope he will be here come the start of the new season.
  19. The Thai's are safe mate. They were all wee lassies Not in the septic handbook of exploitation.
  20. No bother mate. the 75% figure is correct, but it's not the "who", it's how much of they debt they are owed. e.g. I owe Alistair £24 and Walter £76, Alistair can knock back my proposal of paying him £8 in installments, but as long as Walter says it's okay with him, then it doesn't matter what Alistair thinks.
  21. Would be pointless mate. Celtic can block a CVA all they like, but added up they make a vast percentage of 0.32143146738% of our total debt. So they can go wanting and get their 2p from the deal
  22. Fanny thinks Rangers are dead Maybe someone should let the wee prhick know.
  23. Have to disagree BEARGER. Sandy may have had some dodgy moments in his past, but he's really stood up for us in recent months and can hopefully keep up the excellent work he has done. I will politely disagree with you on this one.
