the sell on value alone makes this player worth paying a little more if we get him for even 3m and he does badly we could punt him for around 1.5m, which means thats all we paid for him in the end. if he does well then, going by recent outgoing transfers of talented players (which in my opinion goodwillie certainly is) the skie's the limit for what we get back from him. the point is purchasing an asset and biting the bullet, with the high probability he will be of equal value or more in the future. i'd say it's highly unlikely goodwillie will be worth less than what we pay for him once he's been with us a season or more.

why not be confident? all we need to do is score one goal over there and it's game on, in fact any goals we score after that are worth more than malmo's so i'm confident we can do something now after getting a little more match sharp

in fact how about naismith and davis as a central midfield? they both work hard as fuck and both have great attacking instincts and vision! why not? i actually think naismith would be a far better choice of captain than davis then... goodwillie and jella up front
