He talks a lot of sense but we like our football to be combative as we are not very skilful as a nation.

I love a good battle, muck and nettles kind of football, but it is going to get us nowhere as a nation, thank fuck am not one bit bothered about the national team.

We as a club have lacked any real steel in the midfield for years and we've suffered for it

Theres a difference between a battle and being a dirty bastard. like the foul on cardoso. I'd condemn any of our players that did that to an opponent. battle hard, go in for every tackle, dont shirk out of a challenge, but dont play to injure someone purposely.

The lego muncher for them lot is what you describe, and he is a classless wanker for it. he'd be a bit more respectable if he was just fearless and battled for everything, but hes a dirty cunt and thats why we hate him.

Totally agree we need more steel in the middle though. We need players willing to go into crunching tackles, drive the team forward.

VAR has more than a few problems of it's own.

There was one in Holland where team claimed a penalty, ref waived play on, other team went up the park and scored and then VAR decided to pull it back for the penalty.

yeah that is one potential flaw in the system, but I'd rather have the risk of that happening than hammer throwers getting away with murder week in week out. And as human as the refs are here, they are fucking shite compared to even say the premier league.  VAR would be a fantastic addition with minimal risk and minimal cost to implement. just have an ex pro ref in the control room unbiased of course.

Can he take freekicks like his brother used to? Seriously though, why does Tav not ping them in for us anymore.. scored a few crackers. Must be a confidence thing?

    ive always wondered this.

Yeah, he may not be the blue cafu that we had all hoped, he has been found out a bit, but surely if you have the ability to take a good free kick you never lose that? its not as if the keepers are better or always saving them, he just seems to have forgotten how to do it!

Publically ripping the utter pish out of us. Scenes when we appoint Allardyce and he smashes fuck out of every media outlet and journalist in the country.

dont want pedro out yet by any means, but if he had to go i would love this to happen simply for big sam to do this. kick fuck out the players and the corrupt media. he'd of nutted brown if the lego muncher tried that shite on him.

The thing that's sad is that every other club seems to prefer the taigs winning every year than actually having a competitive league.

It's fucking sickening, and sums up the bitterness for me.

them doing well in europe sees those no marks get a sizeable windfall - 370k for each team this year which is a lot of money for your hamiltons and motherwells.

I'd have started with holt. He gives a bit of steel in the middle .

Pena wasn't working first half and should have been pulled half time for Herrera to give morellis physical support .. windass is poor and id drop him now for nemane.

We dominated first half and had we got our goal we'd be in the final today .It's a combination of bad luck . Extremely poor refereeing in some games and Pedro being stubborn with team choice.

We must play 2 strikers . Put steel in the middle to let dorrans flourish and drop windass .

January we must bring in another striker , Marvin Andrews type CH , a left winger and get Declan John on a pre contract minimum

Declan john, moult, walker, McLean would be the obvious choices, all spfl proven and cheap/free January buys. Get em signed now for peanuts rather than waiting til summer.

  7. can anyone sum up (to save me digging through 21 pages) the gist of this? last i heard this baldwin bloke was working millers ticket slagging the club off on instagram. we any more news as to whether its actually miller doing it via his agent or any news on the mole?

    TIA.

  8. Wouldn't mind seeing 3 at the back, john and tav as wing backs, mcrorie alves cardoso at centre half, jack sitting DM dorrans and pena Attacking midfield with Morelos and candeias up top. candeias for the pace, morelos for the rough stuff.

Bring in Moult, Walker, Mclean, John (permanent), Morgan as priorities as theyd be bosmans, then look to make more substantial changes in the summer, when niko, miller, forrester, MOH, halliday and hodson are all offloaded. wages freed up.

There are some strikers who if they're not scoring contribute fuck all. He's the opposite of that, works like a bastard, closes down, links up and is always looking for the ball in all positions.

I predict he'll be a top player for us and we'll sell him on for a fuckload of money in a couple of years.

nah we wont - we are a fucking shite selling club - wouldnt surprise me if we let him go for under 5m.

  10. id buy players and pay for their contracts for the club, id invest in maintenance of the ground and pay to invest in the youth team, whether that be provide better youth coaches, paying for transport for the youngsters to go play abroad etc. and I would pay for every season ticket holder to get a free home shirt to make a blue sea of ibrox again.

probably invest 60mil. wouldn't want anything back, maybe some role within the club.

  11. Don't get the logic here - young Ross did ok, played pretty well. But exceptional? No. Had a share of the blame for both goals.

Do people just love to Scape host a big money player and  heap all the praise (and pressure) into a 19 year old with less than 2 games to his name just because he's from the academy?

I know who id rather have at the back.

  12. At 09:24 this morning, we lost the absolute rock in our world. Since I was a child, shes been there, to see me through school, through my teenage years and into adulthood. She made me the man I am today, and made my dad the man he is today.

Rest in peace to the kindest, most loving woman I've ever known. Your at peace now.

I love you and will never forget you.

Not just about DeBoer what a team we had in those days, players like RDB,  Albertz, Amo, TAF and Mols.  Wonder if/when we will ever see that calibre of player again?

Doubtful pal. Whenever a player becomes any sort of top talent, they want away to England, Spain, France or Germany.

Even sellick, who can offer champions league football, cup and league wins, comprises of premier league rejects, football manager specials and players that wouldn't get in the top half of a premier league side. Patrick Roberts is a coup for them, and he isn't near that class.

you cant sell fiesta for the price of an aston martin. No matter how good a salesman you are.

This is true - but we would sell the fiesta for 50 quid to some English bloke who'd put it up for 2995 is my point. We have always been a terrible selling club. I wouldn't have expected millions but 250k isn't unreasonable for a league one proven centre half.

  15. Jim thompson's testimonial, queen of the south vs rangers, July 2010. 1-0 Kenny miller (and I'm sure he scored against Alexander who'd come on for their goalie after he picked up an injury? Could be wrong)

Me being 16 at the time, bought a ticket, only to find it was in the queen of the south end. Haha! Still, wore my gers jersey and got no bother at all. Was a good day

  16. Update: first bout of chemo done, she was very tired and a bit out of it today but she is fighting.

Page has another week to run so any further donations are massively appreciated. I reduced the length of time as we hope to have her home next week so would be ideal having the money for the Car there.

Thanks again to all, and her next lot of chemo is in 3 weeks time. WATP no surrender
