I agree with you... But who of any substance, reputation or commercial talent and experience would want to be on the board? I sit on a number of corporate boards and charitable boards and there is zero chance I would take a role on the Rangers board. And I would otherwise do it for free. But being abused and hounded by a not insignificant proportion of the supporter base regardless of what you do? No matter which way you turn, some will hate it and some will be on board. But the fact that there will be those that hate any decision makes it untenable. The problem with Rangers is our history demands success which in turn demands a cut-throat business minded approach at the board level. But the other problem with our more traumatic recent history at board level is absolute chancers had control - so a large part of the fan base are rightly scarred by that and do not trust the board, no matter who is on it and what they do. It's a serious problem that I can't see an easy fix to.
