The lad played very well, constantly looked like making something happen down the left - all the more contrast now with the lack of penetration from Tavernier in open play.

Earning his corn from the mainstream media, trying too hard to appear impartial. Don’t waste too much time hating, better to remember the glory days.

I actually think we are still in it with 4 games played. They will drop points, we are getting better and we still have players to come back to give the squad a little bit of depth.
Can’t believe the bookies are offering 8/1 with only 4 games gone, 4 points behind - come payday will be lumping on at that price - will definitely be a good bit shorter when we go on a run and no way they won’t be dropping points before the new year game.

our discipline is atrocious this year
Definitely the case - reckoning it’s a byproduct of Gerrard telling them to be a bit more fired up than last year’s gutlessness. Obviously we can’t be having daft sending offs for no benefit but as a player he was willing to push the bounds of assertiveness/aggression in the big games and accept the odd red as a result.

We never had the energy to play our normal game
Game was lost on Thursday night for me
Knowing what most of us are like after after a long journey, having to play a high-tempo derby within 72 hours of a 5,000 mile round trip is going to be a big ask for any team.
It may be that this can excuse the conservative tactics and apparent lethargy, however now isn’t the time that can be stated with certainty, rather when we return from the international break and without any excuses show that this was exceptional rather than business as usual.
Make no mistake, convincing league wins against Dundee, St. Johnstone & Livingston, getting into the semi-final of the league cup and as a bonus taking anything back from Spain will turn the tide by the end of the month. With that sort of momentum the new year game will be the moment the media realise the 55 is on this season.

Looking at 1200 tickets for this.
That’s grim, won’t even cover half the bears travelling for this. Any idea of prospects for the home end or failing that if there’s suitable places to watch it near the stadium?

I'm not wanting to get ahead of myself here, but we're getting to the final regardless of who we draw. Only question for me is, will this feat stop us getting 55 this season? Think winning the UEFA cup would compensate nicely for losing out on the league!
The UEFA Cup in 2008 would’ve been a historic win but given everything that’s happened since, the next league win is far more important.

Never seen one for sale, will keep a lookout for them though and let you know. What was the original price/any idea what they’d retail for now? That guy on gumtree seemed a bit desperate listing it at £150 and then dropping the price, so presume you’re likely to pay more than that.

It’ll take a career ending injury for the powers that be to take notice on the state of these plastic pitches.

Thought this was a big gig for him so early, a wee bit of grafting in the lower leagues awaits.

Also should add don't care if it is in home or away end
Know a few folk with season tickets who travel down, a few years ago it was pretty easy to get tickets but under Klopp it’s near impossible. Will check wi them and see if any prospect in the near future.

What’s the chances of getting an away ticket to Russia? Not in the travel club but gonna travel none the less, fucking great night ??
The visa process is a nightmare, good luck getting it sorted on time and to boot it costs a fair bit and they demand details of all your social media accounts. Should be fine so long as you’ve not criticised Vlad?

Took a pounding off their defenders, and at one time was being pushed around by 5 of them at a time, looks like he's being targeted, but kept his composure extremely well, plus the wee cheeky bit of sticking the tongue out toward the end shows he's gaining confidence every game.
Thought he had another great performance too, popped up everywhere in their half, held it and passed it well, and especially good was the vision for that through ball he played and we should have scored from.
Kris Boyd was quoted in today’s Times saying he was an easy target to wind up and the Killie defence will be doing just that on Sunday. Said the ref was going to send him off in a behind closed doors game last year, didn’t know about that one - anyone any idea where/when that was?

They look like a poor team so it should be a certainty, just hope they’re not sharks.

I think us and them would need to qualify for the next 5 years with the other two clubs at least making a decent go of it for us to get the two CL spots again.
Even if we did UEFA would probably have further restricted the criteria to make it even less likely a team outwith their big leagues gatecrashes their exclusive party. Wish there was momentum behind a breakaway to give us a chance in a proper competition and leave the monied elite to churn out the usual predictable ties.

Surprised how poor the U-20 sides from the SPL have been - only 5/11 through tonight, 2 of them in all premier fixtures. Assumed a few of them would get to at least the Quarters, not going to happen with only St. Mirren, Dundee & Motherwell left in.

AEK are absolutely dreadful, a win on 2nd September and the meltdown will be complete.

We had around seven hundred thousand members at it's height.
That’s incredible, even half of that would be an achievement these days. Any idea what the split between prize money and profit for the club was?

There’s over 3000 names on the waiting list. Chances of getting one is slim I think.
There’s always a wee bit of turnover, folk who can’t renew for whatever reason. Shouldn’t be far away if you’re on the list.

Reap what you sow imo.
Is there a link to this anywhere (sorry couldn't find it on Daily Mail site). Would like to forward on to a few SPhell surrporters to let them see what's around the corner for them.
I haven't been able to find a link either would appreciate anyone posting one

I doubt the SFA wil be taking "our loyal support" into consideration.
The decision should be nothing to do with the SFA, should be Forres who decide if they want a bigger crowd at Inverness. For football reasons I prefer ties to be played at the home ground regardless.
