I NEVER said through the middle... If you had read my post I said IN the middle.. When Buffel has played in the middle of midfield he has created chances, sprayed passes and IMO would compliment Ferguson, much more than Clement, Hemdani and yes even more so that Hartley (who IMO is utter sh**e)... I'm sick of this inconsistancy garbage, the guy has never had a proper run in the team and NO one on this site can argue that.. I can give many examples of games Buffel has won for us or changed the game in some way (the 3-2 defeat to Dunfermline is a prime example) Buffel came on and gave us that extra spark and dimention... If we do sell him all i am saying is it will be a Waste and something we will live to regret ...

Completely disagree with this. Buffel is technically skillful but offers nothing to Rangers on a regular basis. Hartley wouild offer fight agression, drive. A load of things we're missing and would be a much better player for Rangers than the Buff. One thing I was afraid of when Walter came back was the age of the players he would bring in... Am I the only Bear who is worried about the ever growing age of our squad?? Take a look at his transfer targets and signings so far... Weir - 36 Ehigou - 33 Hartley - 30 McCulloch - 28 With the exception of Alan Gow (24) all Walters targets are nearing or are in the middle of their 30s... Dont get me wrong I aint trying to attack Walter here, him and Ally have my full support, I just think he's looking at the short term bringing in players like Hartley (who I dont rate)... We should be looking to the future and keeping hold of players like Buffel , who I beleive we will see alot more from...

I dont get this move from Walter at all, IMO if I had a choice between Paul Hartley or Thomas Buffel, then Buffel would win hands down.. I know i'm probably going to get slated for this statement but lets look at the facts for a second... Buffel is 24 and Hartley is 30... Buffel hasn't reached his prime yet, Hartley is edging past his.. I would like to see younger players at the club, NOT players past their prime. Hartley has had one really good season (last year) in the past 4-5 seasons IMO, hardly the sort of form that sets the heather on fire... I can admit that Buffel has been fairly inconsistant as well, BUT i can only agree with that to an extent ... When you look at the positions he has played under McLeish and LeGuen he has never played in his favoured position... I dont care what anyone says but when you have a player with Buffel's vision and passing ability you put him in the middle and NOT out wide... I have watched Buffel over the last few seasons and I see a player with alot of potential and I really thought this season would have been his season to shine but he hasnt been played.. When he has come on he has looked sharp, direct and looks like a player who can turn games.... I dought Paul Hartley could do this...

Just finnished my fourth season with the Gers... I have won all 4 titles, 3 Scottish Cups, 3 League Cups, 2 Champions Leagues ... Havent tried a Network game yet .... Whats it like ? Does it run slow compared to a normal game etc etc ?

So what formations and tactics are we all using ?? I'm currently using a 4-4-2 in my Gers game with two wingers, almost like a 4-2-4 type formation... This formation and tactic works wonders in the SPL but in other games i.e the English Premiership and in France its doesnt seem to work as well ... Anyone got any decent formations or tactics that work well outside the SPL ?? Post screenshots if you have a GREAT tactic !!

We are missing the point here... The league is over and Walster has his sights set on one thing ONLY.... Finnishing 2nd and getting into the Champs League... Weir and Ehiogu are experianced defenders, no nonsense players who will come in till the end of the season and do a job for us... Can't get enough of it m8, to be honest it gets too much stick over here but when you know the rules and sit down and watch it it can be quite entertaining... If we sign Craig Gordon for any less than ?4M then I for one will be delighted !! He is arguably one of the Top 3 keepers in Britain and has a glittering career ahead of him.. I know we require other positions to be filled more urgently but IMO when you have an opportunity like this you have to take it... If we dont I could see us watching in 2-3 years time as Gordon is commanding goals for Arsenal, Man Utd or the likes and we are saying to ourselves "we could have had him " ... I was mearly giving examples of managers who have started their managerial careers at a young and found their feet very quickly.... There is NO formula when it comes to new first time managers, you either have it or you dont !! I for one hopes McCoist has it and turns the club around !!

If McCoist and Smith are appointed I will welcome it and they will have my full support... Who cares how PLG wants him to play. The way PLG has Rangers playing we will be in the bottom 6. Barry has been good on the park and a standout in a blue top.
