  1. I'd honestly feel disgusted with myself paying knowing it's going to some of these clubs of integrity. Fuck the standard of the Scottish game for now. We might reconsider the situation with some of these clubs at some later date if the blowjob and apologies are big enough, but I could not force myself to visit and pay money to any of these clubs to save the planet let alone the standard of Scottish football just now. They voted against saving themselves so why should we give a toss right now
  2. The club is being used as a bargaining tool by all. The last bit shows it. Shame Green has to accept this pish or run the risk of the SFA kicking us out of football all together. We won't get our wish. Good to see a bit of honesty around how important our club is to the whole game. Now the SFL clubs are going to hold out for more cash. Will the plot ever stop twisting. Horrible to see us being a pawn. especially when the game is being played by noneties. Can hardly stand watching us being used and exploited anymore. I could easily go nuts soon. We need to put up with this pish until we have membership again and then we can return our gratitude, nothing else I can see that Green can do
  3. Yeah its a good point but I can't see me supporting the national team anymore. I used to go but I have recently begun to dislike most Scottish things. Rangers have always been more important to me. If the club emigrated I'd happily go with it as this wee country of ours is full of backstabbing rodents
  4. Yeah I can imagine the guy was already sick of these calls. Sky will be watching closely with a view to saving themselves a few bob. Some of these clubs will regret their votes
  5. The wee guy grew up near where I live and I know how good the club was to him. Bought his mum a house in a nicer area when he was still a teenager. Nah I think he stuck two fingers up to Rangers, was shite anyway, should have felt very grateful to have ever have played for a club like Rangers. Especially as he is a local boy and grew up supporting the club. Big let down to me, should be ashamed
  6. Agree with Canadian completly. Don't think I will ever feel the same about Scottish football. Quality post though, can see you put time and effort in. Think it deserved a better response Bang on about how important the club is
  7. I've been surprised there has not been more protests at what has been done to our club and the treatment since. I think it would be pointless now. We'll hit them were it hurts soon enough anyway without even having to get off our arses. I'm going to use my savings at the pub Has anyone heard if Sky subscriptions have went down in Scotland. That would probably see their deal lowered sooner. Maybe Bears should cancel their sky deals
  8. Best of it was that O'neil spent a lot more than us so this idea that our titles are not valid is opportunistic and smacks of sour grapes. McLeish was actually operating with one hand tied behind his back against the 'holy' one and still won more. Murray was already selling what he could and hardly investing in his team. The Rangers shops were sold for about 17m, Boumsong 9m, Cuellor 8m, Champions league last 16 14m, virtually none of which was rinvested in the team. Le Guen spent peanuts too. Talk of being stripped of titles is a joke as Septic were outspending us at the time. They can get to fuck as these titles were actually won against the odds. Great wins. Always makes me laugh that we can always be trusted to turn up and be counted when it comes to the crunch whilst our rivals mostly bottle it. That's what Rangers have always been about. That shirt has made men of many boys and inspired them to over achieve. That's why we were still successful when on our knees. Even reaching a Eufa final. How many clubs have achieved that? All this is never mentioned. Sour grapes. Had to laugh when the bottlers turned up expecting to party at Ibrox like we did at Parkhead, as if
  9. Was in my nappy so not seen anything but clips of Coopers goal. Seen it when I was young and used to fancy it would be my turn soon but by that time Rangers were not interested in local prodigy's Never even heard about Jardine's goal. Will have to see if I can find it on the net. You don't see many goals were the player runs the length of the park. Can't recall any
  10. Just thought I'd ask if anyone was at the Drysborough cup final to see Coopers goal against the filth? It looked to me to be one of the finest goals ever scored in football history. What do the rest of you think? If Gazza had scored that goal it would be heralded as the finest ever. His one against Scotland was just what Cooper did at the end. The easy part. I think the likes of Maradona and Pele would be extremely proud to have scored that goal. Shame our nations greats only get worldwide acclaim if they go to England. Cooper eh? True Legend
  11. hello bud roll on the new season lets get back to the fitba

  12. Me too m8, they thought it was their turn after our M'cann 3-0 demolition
  13. Got to be the 4-1 against PSV. I'd been waiting 15 years to see us play in Europe with crisp passing, flair, style, and a swagger. Our team in 93 was great but it was more about spirit than total football. One of the proudest moments I've had as a Rangers fan was away to Munich the following year. Even though they won 1-0 thanks to a penalty that should not have been, we absoluely played them off the park that night. Must have hit the woodwork 4 times. That big dirty bastard Khan took out Mols and ruined his career because he could not bear seeing him make his mate Matheus and other defenders look stupid. What a player Mols was at that time, something really special. Often wonder what if about Mols as it looked as if we had a new Cooper. Not often Bayern get roasted at home even the young Ferguson was lording it over Effenberg. Team was good enough to be champions that year. Watched that one on tv right enough Aberdeen 2-0 league decider after Souness left was another good one
  14. Lucky bas****, what a crowd, how does a packed Ibrox these days feel compared to that? Never spoke to a Rangers man who was at a 100,000+ match before, must have been great given were twice as loud as most other fans.
  15. Tell us more please, sounds interesting
  16. I think the old firm rivalry is be a big part of the reason for the stupidity that has gripped our game. I smell the stinking hand of the filth in much of what we have witnessed. From the media response, to the SFA, SFL and clubs, and SPL and clubs. They have been too silent and when are they ever silent? No doubt pulling strings and having their opinion expressed by other means. Think PL has realised that Septic can't really go it alone and that is why we are seeing a softer tone now. Probably realised after listening to SKY and the tears of other chairmen. It might have been the plan anyway as our clubs reputation has been slaughtered and no doubt he has these others in his pocket now that we are the outsiders. This along with the reasons mentioned in the post above makes me more positive about div 3. If it stops these clubs of very little integrity (sporting or otherwise)from benefitting from a TV deal that was only signed because of our SPL presence then so much the better.
  17. Lots of quality posts lads. I posted a few days ago in favour of div 1 but I dived in without realising all that was going on. Just hated the idea of having to watch our great club having to sweat it out with pub teams. It's fucking shameful. As we all know and JCD pointed out, our club has been ripped apart by a criminal and the reaction of most of Scotland was to try and finish us off. So I no longer give a damn about Scottish football. All that matters to me now is that we are able to rebuild and become strong again. If we can be certain of doing this from div 3 then I will be happy enough. Especially after hearing that the SFA knew about Whyte and the way in which the SPL is now trying to save itself. I hear the argument about what type of SPL will be there in 3 seasons if we go to the third but I think there is going to be a big decline in our game anyway as chairmen are like Tories any old excuse to cut will do. It will be look at what happened to Rangers if fans grumble and they will also be cutting now in anticipation of our absence and future boycott. Hell mend them. Their hatred of our club drove them to confuse RFC with DM and CW. I believe their reaction has already done untold damage to our game. No doubt we will also be blamed for that in ten years time. Silly bastards. This will also affect us of course and we too will see less talent on the pitch and lower crowds if Scottish football deteriorates. Any organisation worth it's salt knows that you never tarnish the reputation of your showpiece or no 1 asset. The reaction in more civilised and intelligent footballing nations would have been much more sympathetic in terms of acknowledgeing the role of DM and Whyte. Sanctions would have been fairer and less selfishly motivated.
  18. Think that was away to the sheep in 1986 to win our first title in 9 or so years. One was an OG. Fantastic day
  19. Must be when I turned the corner after coming out the subway and looked up the hill and seen our wonderful stadium when I was around seven. It was just after Souness arrived and I'll never forget doing the bouncy in the east enclosure. Remember a guy lost his shoe, lol. I stood there in amazement for the full game looking at M'coist as if he was God. Well I suppose he was/is. My dad only went to a few games a season so after a few years I started to go myself and skip in. Used to lock my bike up outside the subway and then get to the stadium but it was not a lift over. I used to hug people's legs as they went through, lol. My mates hardly ever came because they were worried about getting into trouble if caught. I've seen me sometimes getting worried because nobody would help me skip in and just taken a run at the solid turnstiles in the Copland and just slide right under up to my arse then struggle through and run away from the staff if spotted. Then it was time to try and find an empty seat. I hated when this happened as it would kill me to have to look over at the east enclosure. Wish the enclosures were still there. Strange how these early days set seeds as I still prefer to go to the stadium by the subway. Hardly ever went by other means. Still gives me a buzz bouncing up the stairs to be confronted by our stadium and thousands of my fellow bears. Just writing this has brought back so many good memories so thanks to the OP. Been late a few times and it always makes me laugh to see hundreds of grown men running towards the stadium as if their lives were on the line with a few usually taking tumbles
