I honestly can't fathom this thinking, isn't it a sign of a good player to stand out in a poor team?

Would this be the same team that is under the manager who signed him for Brentford?

Warburton may have signed him for Brentford but to be honest I thought McLeod was average at best for us, like any player a couple of good games...he was built up similar to the way Fleck was on here as well, where does he play now? Oh yeah League One specialist.

Again it's my opinion but he was a decent prospect at best and could develop into a player in the future but to be fair people treated him as if he was an international class player.  There's no way Warburton signed him to walk into that Brentford team at all, he would have been developed through the system and it would have been sink or swim time, but he was nowhere near the finished article or as good as people made him out to be.

Lewis McLeod wouldn't be a bad addition if his fitness/health was up to scratch

Was overrated to fuck on here...basically playing in an awful team, wouldn't stand a chance in our current crop.

  3. Andy Murray...telling it like it is...

"Clearly if you are taking performance-enhancing drugs and you fail a drugs test, you have to get suspended," said Briton Murray, the world number two.

"I think since 1 January there have been 55 different athletes who have failed tests for meldonium," Murray told BBC Radio 5 live.

"I find it strange that there's a prescription drug used for heart conditions and so many athletes competing at the top level of their sport would have that condition. That sounds a bit off to me."

Murray also said tennis needed to do more to combat the threat of doping.

"It's better than it was a few years ago," he said. "Last year I certainly got tested a lot, but this year I have been tested twice, three months into the year, which clearly is not enough."

Has there been any of the top male tennis players said ANYTHING about this?

Yup...Novak has sympathy for Sharapova

Novak Djokovic says he hopes Maria Sharapova emerges from her current situation "stronger" after the former women's world No 1 failed a drugs test at the Australian Open.

Sharapova told a press conference on Monday that she had tested positive for meldonium, which was added to the World Anti-Doping Agency's list of banned substances on January 1.

"I obviously wish her all the best," said Djokovic, who shares a racquet sponsor with the Russian and has famously done impressions of her on court.

"I've known her for a long time. I feel for her with all that's happening and I just hope she gets out of this stronger."

  5. Massive oversight from both her and her team...imagine "not checking the list".

That's the problem  with athlete's in endurance sports, they are probably all on something to help them recover...which is mostly legal at this point but things change.

  6. We haven't always done it in games...there has been a few where we've kept it basically the same until late but when you look at players such as Miller can he always go 90minutes, no, so getting a great 60 out of him is better than stretching it over 90 (although yesterday he was magnificent for the full 90).

I think it's working well...keeping us fresh...and giving players the time to make a difference in a game and show what they're capable of.

He doesn't appear to make subs just to keep people happy in my eyes, we just seem to manage our players much better these days.

  7. Not surprised about the decision not to open the club deck as our cup game attendance's haven't exactly been great this season...that's nothing new and people shouldn't be surprised.

I will say though that I'm sure if the club see the demand is there then they will make the Club Deck available.

As baffling as you always picking Murray to win slams every time they come around? :pipe:

 well he's going to win another  eventually mate!! (At least I hope so...)

Personally I feel the loss of Waghorn is a huge one given the way we play our football...out of his obvious replacements...Clark/Miller, not one of them will offer the same level of play that Waghorn does, the way he can switch positions, take on players, pick out a pass etc, there isn't an obvious replacement for him if you ask me.

O'Halloran certainly isn't a striker so it will be interesting to see if we change anything around our play in the final 3rd...
