I love Madrid as a city but it’s not what people are used to when travelling to Spain IE not a load of people speak English , however people in Madrid are generally friendly and helpful , found this out after I ended up lost in a scheme after a Real Madrid game an old dear managed to point us in the right direction to get out alive
