  1. The point here is that the site a) shows the incidents, b) tell them where they occured and to which audience, and c) that no action was being taken despite "recent" announcement by club, association, league and even government with regards to quench "sectarian" singing. With regards to their terrorist songs, well, there sure is no comparison to the Horst Wessel - song, as the Nazis were something fundamentally different than IRA terrorists. Yet, you do wonder whether there are pro-ETA songs being sung wherever the supporters of say Atletico Bilbao go, whether the government and the association would turn a blinder? Whether praise and adulation for the Red Brigades would be welcome in Italy, for the Rote Armee Fraktion over here in Germany? On the basis of this, you are at an utter loss when it comes to the non-reaction that is currently being applied in Britain.
  2. The point with most of these snippets is that they come from live TV games and people investigating it can easily attain a copy from the TV stations themselves and look at the incidents there, no tempering involved. Of course, many hundreds if not thousands of fans will have taped/silverdisced the game too, so the evidence is out there.
  3. Hello! Some of the German Bears have collected a variety of material with regards to the double standards dished out in Scottish ... or rather Glaswegian football. While one side continuously feels the pressure from all angles, the other walks "scots"-free time and again. We've collected the evidence, now the Bears need to use it: Double Standards
  4. Not exactly. Someone complained about our songs at UEFA and they have started an inquiry. The hearing will be on April 28th. The rest, no matter from what source, is pure speculation, assumption, or/and rumour-mongering. Of course, it would help if people take these couple of FARE complaints seriously and write to UEFA to explain our songs, why we sing them, and against whom we sing them.
  5. If Boyd was to play in the Champions League he'd struggle to get one effort on goal nevermind score. He looked woefully out of his depth against Panathinaikos and that was in the UEFA Cup. Now bear in mind the poor service he was receiving from the midfield, it was dire. Give him a chance this year i say, if he can't score with this years quality service coming in then maybe i'll agree. Most of them do not know what they are talking about mate Well said!
  6. Well, while we are at it, GermanBEar has collected tons of songs hereabouts ... http://www.4shared.com/dir/1477876/a63de5c2/sharing.html ... while I did so with the lyrics. You'll find my first collection on there too as a download, The Rangers Songbook (on page 4). It is just a start, of course ...
  7. Just been oot of the plane from Italy, you know?!
  8. Now wait ... 9m for a Scottish chap who turned it on for about 8 month. 7,8m (minus 2,35m who got him) for a Spaniard whom no-one bar Walter has heard of before we signed him, who turned out to be a class act in a team of 80% mediocre players - by Rangers standards? What, if I may ask, would you reallistically (sic!) want for those players? Cuellar would surely have bagged us 10m+, IF he (IMHO) or his agent hadn't noticed Villa of the 10m Euro get-out clause. I'm not saying this went the way I would have liked, nor am I happy about the way the club is currently run. Still, people should leave their feet at the ground and take a realistic look at things. Whether they like or hate the leaders at Ibrox. Else, this will simply end up being another quite pointless (as there are thousands of them already) Murray bashing thread. Then again, no matter what is said on here, this will, as the OP said, not change as long as some decent buyer happens by.
  9. Oh no, not deducted points. Far too many rollover shitebags in our support. We are being toyed with, If our custodian had the balls to stand up for us we would no way lose. As he has the money to stand up to this shite we would piss it in the european courts. Get DFQC onto the case. I'm inclined to say that you are living in a world of your own.
  10. Then let's hope that Smith unearthes a few more Cuellars too ...
  11. Have you been to Ibrox? Serious question, as if you have at a game worth any salt, you would not have asked that. Serious answer? Never had the chance, given where I live. Alas, they have been kind enough to visit the continent often enough to get enough experience. Ibrox is not the same intimidating place it once was, but that is not something that hinges on one song. Especially if it is a song that has nothing to do with football and that can hardly be depicted as common football "banter". It has been hailed as THE Rangers song for motivating us and intimidating the opposition. Fair enough. But that was just the supporters' view and now they (at least some of them) think that is Rangers tradition and all. There is no will to actually think on what others might say, just head into sand like a spoilt brat and if possible, run through brick walls for it. When the most sensible thing would be to draw upon those 100+ other songs - Rangers songs! - out there or adopting another one instead. And while we are at it, it is utterly useless to point at the Timdome and the terrorist songs they sing there without anyone taking note. Unless someone complains - and in their hundreds - nothing will happen. But their misbehaviour will not reduce our misbehaviour if we start signing TBB again. That song will only see us into more bother, full stop. Anyone who does not see this lives in his own dreamland.
  12. On a sidenote ... whatever we think of Cuellar and his worth and the apparent fact that Cuellar wanted to go and not us ... do you think the Timmies will like that their former manager hands us 5,5m on top of the fee we bought an "at that time no-name" Cuellar for? They might be happy that we weaken our defence, but we won't be facing European top class this season and what we have is enough to fend off most of what the SPL can throw upon us, Tims included. Heck, even St. Mirren held them at bay without breaking much sweat! It sometime beggars belief that we should be above what we've been doing to the SPL for decades. Every player has his price and at SPL level, anything above 5m (which is pretty handsome in any case) will be enough to make ANY financial chap at any SPL club think hard. And it does not really matter whether we are in Europe or not. 6m for McGregor or the like will be enough to let him go too and if it happens, no problem. I mean, should Arsenal happen by (who pay e.g. Gallas 70k a week) who could stop McGregor getting there in a flash? Murray? Bain? Welcome to modern day capitalism. It does not stop at the Ibrox doors, you know. No matter who resides at the top of our club.
  13. One, we have no change of getting within 10 points this season, never mind 1 two, if it protected the integrity of the club and its support, then it is most certainly worth it There will be other titles, they come and go An identity is forever 1- I asked 'if' 2- How will it protect the integrity of the club if we lose the title and have to play 2 CL qualifying rounds-look what happened last week. 3- The identity you speak of has not been there since 1873 but as many would testify since WW1 The question is, the phrase, "more Than a Club" has been touted on here a lot Are we really? If we are, we would be fighting this fight If we are not, we meekly surrender into the night And with less money from potentially not making it to the CL group stages we will be surrednering the title for many years to come. Is that what you want? I want a strong Rangers, unified with their support, standing tall for what they beleive in - strength right nwo can only come from standing up for ourselves. If we do not, then European football will be the least of our worries if we do this and it marks the beginning of a stronger Rangers, then stuff like Uefa trying to ban TBB will just fall off us like water off a ducks back - they dont have a legal ground to stand on - if we wanted to, we could fight that and win Now wait?! You want us and Rangers to stand up for a song about a Glasgow street gang who wanted to stand knee-deep in someone else's blood? Aye right!
  14. Fuck the press and fuck the pope!! Billy Boys all the way - the fans need a battlecry to get Murray out And here was me thinking this site has not that many ... You do not hurt Murray when singing this song, you hurt the club.
