I was only pointing out that they needed Rangers men in order to win what they had won, most taigs don't know that most them wherent born but still go on about it once you mention half their team where good Protestant Rangers men it takes them down a peg or two
-
I don't think he would though mate we are already a worldwide global brand why start a fresh when he could already use established brand it wouldn't make sense? He would pump money into the team make sure we strolled through the divisions, got wuropean football then build a team strong enough to compete with the best
-
A good few celtic players through out the years grew up as Rangers fans then turned to the dark side after playing for them Think about 5 or 6 the Lisbon let downs where, just goes to shows you they couldn't win the big cup without us
-
The man city owner is one the richest guys about if he bought us we would have the finances to win the champions league
-
Your clearly not a true blue
-
We are too big mate plus you wouldn't buy someone from the bottom the whole point is to get back to the top quicker
-
It may be 2 or 3 just now but the more and more people who get interested and participate in letting pyro off the better it will get IMO
-
St Mirren wouldn't have been a bad shout either tbh if their was talk about it previously it obviously could have worked
-
I know what you mean it's not really the Rangers way but if it meant we where playing in the EPL (which I think we would be easily a top 4 team after a few years) would it be worth it and forgotten about? Theirs prob clubs on the brink of bankruptcy who would mind the fresh start and we would be doing them a favour so it wouldn't be looked at as "killing them" more giving them a fresh start
-
One last point If Green suggested we bought a league 2 club down South and done the same thing in order to get into the EPL would everyone have the same reaction? I
-
I'm sure loads would have went along with it prob just too scared to agree incase they get personal attacks Some people really need to grow up it might be a stupid idea who knows but I'm stuck in work board and trying to think of ways we could have went about things better it's a lot more than most would do on here
-
1 I disagree if it was any other club they wouldn't have had the same treatment theirs a clear agenda against us most likely due to our success 2 Their owner wants to sell and the fans want the owner out. He gets money and the fans get to start and run the club their own way, its a win/win IMO 3 see point 2 4 come on mate its not a English class
-
I really don't see what personal attacks add to the thread? Yes I might not know what I'm talking about and I openly admit it but unless you do know how the business side of things works with clubs, companies ect then I don't think you have the right to sly digs without explaining further At the end if the day we all want the same thing to get bk to where we belong as Scotland's most successful club and champions of Scotland NS
-
I know mate and to be honest I don't have a clue when it comes to the business side of things like most bears but I just can't see why we couldn't have used the company behind Kilmarnock instead of Green and co setting up a new company and starting from the bottom? It gets us back to where we belong quicker and that way only Kilmarnock would loose their history if they reformed as a new club at the bottom?
-
Would prefer someone who has no links to the club and gets the job on merit and a proven track record in business rather than it being because he's mates with someone Who that person is I don't have a clue but we need someone to find him
-
What's Jamie's med's? We could have just used the company behind Kilmarnock and linked it with our club that seems as if what Airdrie has done then te Kilmarnock fans could setup a new club with the money they received similar to Clydebank that way only Kilmarnock would be the new club and they would loose what little history they have I'm sure if we let them keep their stadium it wouldn't have cost us too much. We could potentially be debt free playing in the top flight, have a chance of be playing European football and have a lot of money in the bank is that really a bad thing?
-
I like how everyone shoots ideas down but no one has any better ideas It was only a thought nothing else to be honest all these options should have been put forward at the start and the Rangers fans should have got to vote on what way they want to go forward
-
It's a viable option if the posters info on the other thread is correct. Don't get me wrong I've loved most the away trips we have got to go on to grounds we wouldn't have visited normally but it doesn't compare to European football and we could potentially be playing in Europe just now The history things irrelevant everyone would know its the same club with the same history only the twigs would go on about it and their doing that the now anyway.
-
Someone in another thread mentioned how Airdrie bought Clydebank and rebranded them and its got me thinking We could have bought a team like Kilmarnock who are looking to sell and rebranded them to Rangers It would mean we would still be playing in the top flight and if it was done at the start of last season we could potentially be playing European football by now Why didn't Green or any of the board think about this? Too busy fighting among themselves IMO
-
I don't know why it wasn't proposed tbh everyone would know its still the same club with our history only the taigs would be claiming otherwise and their doing that the now anyway Scary to think if we had done that we could potentially be playing European football just now defo missed the boat their
