  1. Like many on here the recent ‘ott’disdain of all things ‘Rangers’ from a large section of the Scotland support has basically put me off watching or near enough caring about ‘my’ national team. This was compounded with Strachan and the large quota of celtic players in the squad. With Alex’s appointment I am genuinely surprised and pleased and hope some balance is restored. I was honestly expecting another one of ‘them’ to pick up the job as appears to be fashion of late. I wish McLeish all the best and if nothing else the hatred filled meltdown this has provoked has basically made my last couple of days. Good luck Alex...

Last time I listened to that show he said it doesn't matter what Rangers spend or who we appoint as manager because, as long as Brendan Rodgers is in charge of the taigs, nobody else will win the league.

    He's a joke of a man.

Yes, heard that ridiculous quote also. Was actually about to post this,  basically his mantra is that regardless of manager, change in finances or personnel, etc.we (or anyone else) may as well pack up as whilst Rodgers is with them no one will ever beat him to the title. Almost as ridiculous as hearing ‘Jim Duffy (who generally is balanced in his opinion) say that Tierney was the ‘best in that position in the UK’, Really can’t wait for 55...

  3. I’ve been out of the loop since the 30th with work commitments and this is genuinely the first ‘press’ reaction I’ve read on what I thought was a hard fought and entertaining game, in which we had been pretty much written off in before a ball had been kicked. Genuinely astounded at Leckies ridiculous column in which he literally character assassinates a young talented player (Morelos) (‘our diddy’ wtf) who incidentally is leading the SPFL scoring charts. The lad did have guilt edge opportunities to score however the keeper had been well positioned for both and 9 times out of 10 both most likely would have found the back of the net. Is it wrong for the support to show their appreciation at his and the team in generals work rate and endeavour, absolutely not. I won’t even start about how he bangs on about the east end opponents are hard done by and allegedly tired by all their games to date etc, etc. In summary, poor column, poor ‘journalist’, poor ‘newspaper’ and poor underhand attempt to demean a club and support who over the past 5 years have relentlessly proved to be second to none.... (apologies for the length of post, needed said)...

Murty acting with class again, refusing to put the boot in.

also I like the fact that at least our coaching staff have the foresight to plan for different eventualities even if the board employing them aren’t.

Graeme Murty’ humility and professionalism over this period has indeed exhibited the class and leadership that has been sadly vacant from other areas of the club hierarchy. He may not be of a level to take on this job permanently ‘yet’ but I genuinely hope that over the next 6 games he ensures the board have to employ a real ‘quality’ candidate to continue the path of progress which began with the first Aberdeen game last week. Good luck Graeme...

Collum was dying to give that

When would ever get a penalty like that

    Fucking scandalous   .Again

Not one commentator brave enough to say it wasn't

The link was their tv channel, commentary was never going to be subjective in they circumstances (if ever)...

He should have been off though. If not for the over the ball tackle then for his handling the ball into the net. They were right to say that is normally a yellow.

Not the point being made, it's the continual playback and disparity in the commentary highlighting Rangers on the ball "and off the ball' incidents. Disappointed in Craigans commentary of late, whom I believed to be evenhanded however absolutely no idea re Butchers thoughts or comments. As for Pena, he is nothing less than an expensive liability to date...

  7. The lads first game for ourselves in unfortunate circumstances and first competitive match for how long? True, he did give the ball away more than once but he showed endeavour and enthusiasm to regain possession. Cant write him off as a dud on the evidence of last night, the coming month will give a true reflection of his ability or otherwise...

  8. In Spain visiting my ex pat dad, a fomidable character of little words, Watched the game yesterday disappointed but no doubt improve, no comment from the old man who to be honest isn't a big football fan 'rugby man'. Just caught the end of the hearts game, saw Scott Browns smarmy expression at the end of the game, out of the blue "I wouldn't get tired of shaking hands with his face'. Few but wise words...

  9. I believe Ally made his comments in a level and most probibally calculated maner with a view to embarrass and show the class amiss from the authorities and fellow clubs decisions when dealing with our own clubs problems. I don't pretend to understand the actual reasons behind the choice of Easter Road as a venue, is it the case that Ibrox was not an option just because of objections from Turnbull Hutton...
