  1. Yes Jon they were soft tackles that's why one of their players is out for three months with ligament damage ... I'm sure you'd be happy if it was you stretchered off with those late rash challenges ... excuses, excuses for poor play and shite result against a team of kids.
  2. Voted not at all .... should have been a 50/50 chance in playoffs option can't say I have total confidence but there is a chance.
  3. The question should be "can the board afford not to sack him?" What are the financial implications/losses if he fails in the playoffs?
  4. More the players than McCoist yesterday, though McCoist is still inept. The board have to wake up to the fact that whilst sacking McCoist may cost money, how much will it cost if they do not get promoted. Winning the playoffs against Hibs or QoS is not certain and even though they should win I would not trust them to get the job done!! Especially if they are still under McCoist's management.
  5. Certain papers are reporting it as Rangers fans drowning out the minority who were shouting "Ally get tae fuck" ... ??
  6. Smith was a red, Law was an idiot for clattering into the back of the Hearts player .. always going to gift a penalty. Too many looking for excuses. Hearts had 9 players under 22 and three of their best missing. Ally fielded 9 players over 29 as he has done since D3 ... He wasted two years of potentially developing cheaper youth players in lower quality divisions ... As sad it is to say ... Hearts have shown him how it should be done in their first year ... Shocking.
  7. Not defending McCoist as he's clearly not up to the task. But the players are more to blame for yesterday than Ally personally. Smith being the main culprit. Miller and Boyd are lucky not to have joined him. Miller's rash tackle and ill discipline left Ally with no choice but to hook him ... No fan of Ally but yesterday was a huge occasion and the players let everyone down including themselves ... Ally still needs to go imo .. but not as result of yesterday.
  8. Is there a time limit on edit posts? I was going to add ... As inept as Ally as been, today the players let him down regardless of how we view his substitutions. Smith forced him into deciding whether to try and maintain the gap at 6 points or reduce the deficit. Whilst we may disagree with his actions he should never have been put in that spot by his players on such a crucial occasion .. Note: I am not defending him overall and believe he needs to walk ... but he cannot shoulder the entire blame. The players have a responsibility as well as they knew how important this match was. Shocking discipline from paid pros.
  9. If he drops any points in the next two matches and he's not sacked, they (the board) are not going to. It was clear from his (Ally) interview that he's going nowhere. Edit for Quote Getting rid of this dugout is going to cause MA a headache and a lot of cash .... Not going to jump on the Ally bashing bandwagon but they are right .. he should do decent thing and walk away.
  10. This and even after the sending off the team played well enough, the tackle was sheer lunacy and unnecessary. I have to give Ally credit for not trying to lay the blame for red card on the ref. It changed the game though and Smith has let his team-mates and the manager down. As bad as he is, I can't blame Ally entirely for today's loss as Smith has some culpability. Boyd and Miller could easily have joined him ....
  11. Anyone that thinks qualifying via the playoffs is going to be a given, should think again. McCoist is more than capable of screwing it up.
  12. He was lucky not to get booked for trying to claim it ...
