  1. I reckon McCoist will recind his contract IF King gets control. Forget confidentiality, McCoist has a book coming out at the end of this year. It will reveal everything that went on since Whyte got the reins until his notice of resignation. King won't mind that hence why I see an agreement after the EGM.

If McCoist doesn't give up his contract then I will look upon him in a very different light.

And who made mccoist the KingMaker?? Pardon the pun. Wtf is it to do with him who is on his (soon to be ex-) employers board??

What gives him the right to try to scupper one prospective owner for benefit of another.?

The board members since 2012 have let him spend plenty money. They have let him keep his lavish contract.

He is just an employee. He watched our club try and fail to get promotion because we do not have someone who can do the job HE IS BEING PAID FOR.

    You think that is acceptable???

  2. What kind of well run club has the manager conducting financial negotiations?

Tbf, the players we signed were decent performers in the SPL.

Where has Andrew Robertson said he was in contract talks with Rangers? Would he have started ahead of Lee Wallace? Probably not.

Nicky Law was / is highly rated.

Kris Boyd was the top scorer in the SPL last season, did anyone really think he'd flop this much?!

The manager is given a budget to work with for both transfers and wages. He decides how to allocate that budget.

Re kb. The managers job is not just to look at which players do beat at other clubs and buy them ffs. They need to consider what changes they would need to make to their own team structure AND TACTI CS ETC etc.to get the best out of that player BEFORE buying him. Mccoist did not do that.

  3. I'll ask the question no one is willing to answer. How do you propose Mccoist gets out of his contract when the current board will not come to any form of agreement with him unless there is a confidentiality agreement?

By law, an employeee can only be held to work a notice period equal to the salary payment period. Ie if he gets paid monthly, he can walk one month after resigning.

I have three month period of notice. I get paid monthly. If I resign, whether or not I work my three months notice depends on my good will.

Mccoist is leeching pure and simple.

What prove do u have of the confidentiality issue?

  4. No pride in the jersey or themselves

not true apart from boyd black etc. Biggest problem is no imagionation re our system. Lump it to boyd is what it consists of. Very rarely get to by line before crossing. Instead cross from thirty yard out straight on defenders head or goalie hands. This is all down to piss poor coaching. They are struggling to find confidence cause of this.

  6. on the whole this is true. however boyd is and always will be a major weakness. we play too many balls to men instead of to space for men to run on to. Guess what, boyd can't run. he removes a load of attacking options. he is easy to defend against and mark out the game. pace up front needed to allow the midfield to create options and service

Should say as well. The reasin we look slow and sluggish is we pass direct to the man where they currently stand. The receiving player yhen has to gather the ball, turn and is probably being marked so just passes to another player or passes sideways rather than forward. This is ally football ethos. Tho is a problem we had a various times in the past. Chhose some space where the receiver has a chance to run onto the ball. Speeds the game up.

  7. Yes mate, i firmly believe it is because the heartbeat of our team is flatlined the rest doesn't work. Attack has no service or support from midfield, most times it is a lone striker left to play against 4 defenders, and the defence has no protection from the midfield. The midfield is every teams engine room, teams dominate from there, teams attack from there and teams defend from there, we do none of those things. Our midfield don't tackle, don't break up play, don't create, don't support, don't score enough goals and can't keep possession, they don't do anything. They simply make up the numbers.

Now we have McDowall playing Kenny Miller in midfield it magnifies the problems even further having lost our last 3 matches. Guys like Smith, Aird, Miller, Law and Black offer nothing to us in midfield. Miller must partner a striker up top or he doesn't play and the rest are just very very poor footballers.

  8. He would possibly be a worse manager than our own Mr McCoist. I think we should be looking for someone who is young, up coming, and hungry for success, with bags of ambition. Neil Warnock, has none of the attributes that I've just mentioned.

in what ways would he worse and how would he get even less out the players than mccoist?
  9. Warnock would be several classes above what we have now and what we've had the last few years. He might not be very likeable as a person and he's not be my dream choice, but I'm amazed people think we're in a position where we could dismiss someone with his experience so easily.

This. The knockers need to realize that we HAVE NOT HAD A MANAGER FOR THREE YEARS. We have paid two guys to do the job but they just took the dosh and ignored huge bits of the job eg fitness and professionalism.

ANY SEMI.COMPETENT MANAGER WOULD BE A MaSSIVE IMPROVEMENT. Please realize this.

  10. Nah. In agreement with the posts above. Why go for warnock when we have the top twenty managers in the world queing outside ibrox as I write this . All deparate to work for us. And of course we also have kenny.

    Use ur effin brains guys.

  11. I'm glad the board were waiting till we got beat off the tarriers before getting rid of Mcdowall..

it takes time to find a manager. The board did not cause this. The supports dumb blind luv of mccoist did for us. At least have the decency to admit that. If he had cried jump u would have asked how high and jumped at the board and that would have came back on them.
  12. The warnings were there when he was assistant to Walter, the days out with his selected player pals, the struggles when he prepared the team for the cup games and Walter had to come down the stairs to get the players to up their game.

Then turning the bright start of the in his first season by stopping the flow of midfield by shoehorning McCulloch into midfield and the downward slide started which events later turned into free fall.

Given the chance to make a new start the signing of the previously retired total footballer Kevin Kyle should itself been a sackable offence and it still continued as he tried to turn the clock back 5 years by bringing in players who were years past their usefulness Smith, then Miller, Boyd and Zaliukas and mediocrity in abundance Foster, McGregor and the others who had to be shown the door.

In addition we have witnessed part time teams being far fitter, faster and better prepared than the highly paid squad he built, part time and rookie mangers out wit the man with the long apprenticeship.

The playing side was down to one man and his vision has set the club back years and in a harder position to fix than when we started in the bottom tier.

never a truer word. He was a effin chancer. Did not even do the management job let alone do it badly.

Fans that were too focused on boardroom nonsense let him away with it as well.

  13. Amazes me that so many fans get so worked up about a guy who you could tell was a wheeler-dealer and in it for the money from day one. Would you not be directing your anger at the men who profess to love the club but baulked at splashing the cash to keep the likes of Grren out.

yup. If someone is in it for the money then u are at least dealing with them on an open professional business basis. Unlike snakes who profess their love for the club, influencing the support against u so u give them what they want.
  14. This just shows how poor a management team we have or that they are intentionally putting the club through financial hardship.

The facts as I see them:

1 Black has been one of our worst players, especially recently

2 We had enough cover to drop black and replace him with someone more worthy

3 Black was continuously played no matter his performance

4 Now a clause has been triggered in his contract due to him playing so much

5 This clause hits the club financially

6 The club doesn't need any more financial hits, it's bad enough as it is

McDowwal has either been so utterly pathetic in his job as to prevent this from happening or he has done it on purpose. I would say he's done this on purpose.

I'm starting to hate people at our club.

on purpose to force the boards hand to giving out gardening leave???
  15. I would throw Faure in at RB for the rest of this season and let him prove himself and perhaps then keep him on as a squad player if he shows anything,, seriously can't be any worse than Ricky bloody Foster !!!,,, why nobody in our back room staff can't see that is criminal

faure went and blabbed about tea and cakes and dodgy training in france tho.
  16. Boyd was the top scoring striker in the SPL last season in a shitey Kilmarnock team that avoided a relegation play-off by the skin of their teeth.

these goalscorer types need sharpness to score, and they need games. We made him shite by benching him. We're fucking Rangers, and in the championship, we should have more than enough quality from the 10 men behind him to afford a poacher in the time to supply with a handful of chances every game.

Bpyd was a car crash waiting to happen. We knew that a mccoist midfield would not create chances for he who does not move or jump. Does not excuse him piling the weight on tho.

Said at the time it would be a waste og money by mcfail. A no brainer
