It's certainly a bit odd given the potential quarantine time for bringing in players outside of the UK and how long they have left to their first qualifier - the 20th, I think. Absolutely - no statement = it was just all rumours / the club never really went down that route and it was all just made up in the media / whoever they get in was actually always the first plan.
