  1. Lightweight me mate as won't be on the beer until about 1pm. Can't stomach the thought of a drink right now.
  2. Got Rangers songs on, fry up and then getting ready for game in the pub with plenty of beers. WATP
  3. Heard it is on there mate but can't remember where I heard or saw it maybe someone on here can confirm. I know it's on in The Walkabout pal. I am thinking Walkabout as have a pal meeting me there for second half as he is working. If I go White Bear he might not get in second half as heard they close doors if it gets full.
  4. Trying to decide which one to go to. Went to The Walkabout for the Semi final game and despite a great atmosphere, wasn't easy to get a drink in the main bar due to lack of staff. Not been to The White Bear before so may give that a go. What is the pub of choice if you are watching in London today?
  5. Even on the way out the old bill asked us to walk a different way out of the ground. I think they were just trying to ensure people didn't start congregating in the same place as the coach incident again.
  6. Well, as predicted yesterday, I should have booked today off. I won't be getting much done today that is for sure. Was an amazing night during the game - The atmosphere was electric, a lot of memories shared with the people that we were sitting with and of course a cracking result. I have to say, I could only stick half an hour of the closing "celebrations."
  7. On the way now, first beer open and a long night ahead. Wish I had booked tomorrow off
  8. Will do mate. Gonna be a very emotional night all round. Cheers.
  9. I think a fair few will still go to the places that they have used over the years as strong bonds and friendships have been built and that is one thing corporate money cannot buy.
  10. Cheers mate and hope you manage to get down and see a game. Hopefully three points tonight - That would be very nice.
  11. To some small extent I see what he is saying but it's also the immediate vicinity that will be missed. The pubs, places to eat, Green Street, fanzines, Tube Station, the flats that overlook the ground and the general feel of the current ground - That cannot be replaced and that I think that is also what most of us will miss.
  12. Will be there tonight, as I follow West Ham and Rangers. Have to say I have a strange feeling today. It feels a bit like a funeral and a celebration rolled into one, which in itself is a very strange concept to get my head around. Reports are stating that there will be hundreds of ex-players there, video screens, fireworks and more - That is if people stay off the pitch, which I don't think will happen completely. I just want to soak in as much as I can with my old man who was born and bred in the area and was the reason I started watching the Hammers as a kid -I know it will be tough for him tonight. I feel like I am saying goodbye to a relative (Yeah, I must sound like a soppy f**ker by now ) and i can't say I am happy about leaving Upton Park but money dictates how clubs compete and I have to say, I also have a huge sense of sadness for all the local businesses that will suffer due to the move to the Olympic stadium. R.I.P to the ground that to many had become a second home and shaped us growing up as youngsters on the terraces.
  13. His penalty miss was the stuff of dreams. Shite personified.
  14. Had to come in and seriously struggled first thing and after a bit of grub, feeling a bit better. Keep looking at the clock wanting to go home.
  15. That was comedy gold. One of those moments you think, oh shit, that's a goal and the next you are falling over laughing. Priceless.
  16. Usually watch the game local but thinking of going into Central London. not been to The White Bear or The Walkabout. Might go for The Walkabout as sounds like it might be easier to see the game. Any suggestions much appreciated in terms of my choice.
  17. Did notice the person with the high bids has no Ebay feedback and could be on a wind up. If it is real, that is a fair whack of a price.
  18. Was impressed with what he did at Brentford and his style of play whilst there. He is doing a great job with us and can't wait for his his first Old Firm game in charge and the challenge of his first season in the SPL.
