King probs doing coke out MWs ahole ??. Great movie!

£10mill and we'd catch them. It's not what happens in all OF games, it's making sure we pump the rest of the league every single week.

That's £10mill well spent. No garners, no Barton's... I know hindsight is 20/20 but MW is on his third transfer window

Here is a quote from another forum I use.

"To be successful these days you need to be able to do that and having just one style, just one way of playing, especially when you don't have the players to make that work to the level you want it to, is going to be nigh-on impossible."

You'd maybe think the remark was about MW and us. But no it's about Pep and Man City and that his style has been worked out by the other teams in the PL. Doesn't matter he has players costing 40 mill plus as once they know how to play against his system any team is in trouble. They've lost 4 out the last 10'

This is what we are suffering from and it was so noticeable when MW changed system against the sheep that they didn't know how to handle us as they were prepared for our usual system. I'm not saying his system is wrong but he must use alternative tactics to keep winning. Yes we need better players to win the title but more varied tactics will go a long way to help.

Correct. Adapt the system to the players we have and to who we are playing against. Plan B isn't doing plan a better!

Ok so an excellent team gubbed us in a friendly and the sky is falling. Honestly give it a rest.

If everyone on here was honest with themselves and understood that our climb back to being a better than average European club after our club has been ripped down to the studs is still a work in progress we'd be further ahead. We have an excellent Manager who actually knows what he is doing and understands that the way forward for every good club who don't make hundreds of millions of pounds each year is through development. Enough of the "this is unacceptable at Rangers" bull shit. We play in arguably the worst calibre league in Europe and were relegated to the 3rd division of said shit league. What are people expecting? I hear so many on here saying how tired they are of the way we play etc. Guess what, we play that way because that's who we are. There are no superstars. He has a system of play that everyone at the club from 14 yrs of age and up plays. What a concept. Are you a supporter of this club or just an angry bastard who still thinks if we "tried really hard, we could win the Champions League" Oh and another thing. No one plays for the jersey anymore. Anywhere. They play for money so don't get pissed off when they don't beat the scum from time to time. They don't really give a shit.

Honestly. If you don't like your club and have nothing positive to say then piss off and go support Tottenham or whoever else is the flavour of the week

You were almost on to something. We play that way because we have no superstars? We should not be playing that way because we have no superstars makes more sense. MW has to adapt to the league and the pish squad we have - then I'd agree. No point of possession when we don't create chances. When we don't create chances and our back four are pish.... can you see why people are pissed of with him now?

His final ball the majority of the time is pish, 9 out of 10 times he runs up the wing beating a couple of men for pace then ether loses the ball or turns and passes it back to where he started.  Needs a better end product and until he improves that then we wont get anywhere near 2 million for him.  Average at best imo  but still probably our best out field player. Depressing times . End product is the most important quality for a winger and it's that he lacks.  McKay frustrates  the fuck out me mate.

True. He skinned lustig once and got fouled during the new year game. Created nothing run in to trouble and lost the ball. I can't remember one decent ball into the box or any end product - yet the commentators were creaming over him.

Windass's passing for once was clinical which gives me hope.

Graham Souness saying playing back to front football is a major part of winning games of football .

He said this after Utd scraped a draw against Liverpool .

His point is valid .It would be nice to see MW use it on occasions.

We are no Barcelona but this Manager will simply not do for me .

His tactics are shite , he offers no flexibility ,only fucking excuses .

My opinion was the same months ago , before todays game .

My opinion  won't change start of next season when he will sadly still be here .

He will never make our team winners because he accepts defeat and mediocrity like no manager I've ever known

We all saw it during sir Walters second spell, we had a poor squad but his tactics were spot on. The fact is we would not have got beaten by RBL (not least in the manner MWs side has) and would not lose to the filth at Ibrox - regardless in the difference in quality. MW has to adapt - fast.

Sutton is the worst and not just because he is a Celtic sycophant who earns money on the Celtic after dinner ans supporters club circuit. He is on a spectrum somewhere. He highlights something then goes on and on and on and on aboutit. Best pundit by miles is Neil McCann. Havent pseen him for a bit so presume his professionalism, analytical mind and the fact he is articulate doesnt fit anymore.

How did it take three pages on this thread to mention Sutton!

If we were in La LiGA, LiGA Nos, this would be the right approach. You get tons of time on the ball and flair players get a chance to shine.

This is British football, kick and rush and 100% aggression and Pace.

Our midfield is over run as it's too small and lightweight. We can afford big aggressive  players but have opted for technical shiftless shitebags.

Warburtons downfall is his inability to exploit other teams weaknesses.

This isn't football manager where you pick a formation and just keep clicking through game after game without adapting to the opposition.

Then there is the arrogance of Plan A and we only think of ourselves, let others worry about us. Well no-one is worried and every team in the league fancy their chances. They all have thier tactics ready weeks in advance. Sit in, press and tackle hard, foul then counter attack.

We can't rebuild the squad every year and expect to compete. Are we the fans demanding too much?  Other teams we play have settled,  experienced teams.

We need to know if there is money to take us forward. Or a new manager that's knows the Scottish game and can grin us out some wins.

Do we want pretty or effective?

Correct. Pep is learning the very same lesson down south.

  9. Man City have the same situation- albeit a different standard - with pep.

Managers tied to philosophies become stubborn and predictable. It may have worked at Brentford, but it doesn't work here. MW has to adapt fast and play to the clubs strengths. It's like putting square blocks in round holes.

Teams will sit in, let us spray the ball around the middle of the park - great possession stats but we don't challenge the opposition keeper enough in most cases.

In fairness against the Mhanky mob we were more direct in the first half and were having success with it. He has the rest of the season to prove he can adapt

ah the gap... my opinion is that there is obviously a gap in finances. I think (and will proven right or wrong in the coming years) that rangers are going about their business in the last 18 months or so correctly. Celtic Fucked up massively by not investing correctly while we were down in the lower leagues. They DID have the opportunity to pump money into scouting networks, youth development, and buying and selling young players for big money. They have done that to an extent, but nowhere near as much as they could have. And after we bet them in the semi final they got a massive reality check. They suddenly realised they had be bobbing about aimlessly to busy laughing at us, to notice that we were right back up there arse again. So they make (in my opinion) good, but knee jerk reactions because they panicked that we could come back up and be pushing for the title that season (if celtic kept delia etc) and that a humiliation such as this could not happen. So they bring in Brendan, good appointment and a good manger. But he is a premiership caliber manager, who was conveniently unemployed at the time. He has no ambition to stay at celtic any longer than he has to, because he can walk back down south when he sees a job he fancies. Their two best players (sinclair, Demebele) are of a similar mould, Sinclair will go back to England as soon as a decent enough opportunity arises, as will dembele. And then celtic will have lost their manager and two good players and are now back to square one, all of a sudden they desperately need a manager and their team doesn't look quite as good as it did.

Meanwhile i think we have went down the "its a marathon not a sprint" road. We selected the exact TYPE of manger that we needed in our current situation, we are bringing in players cheaply (which has benefits and drawbacks) with a view to selling on at a profit and trying to build off the field as well as on it, with scouts, youth academy etc being crucial now more than ever. I think our method will prove to be the correct one, and soon celtic will be in the same situation that they were at the end of last season. We are looking forward, and trying to change things and modernise, celtic are too busy looking back at us. Or put another way, rangers are looking to improve to compete with celtic and to get better than celtic, we are looking beyond celtic. Celtic are looking back at us in hope that we dont get as good as them. They had their chance to create a gap that we could perhaps never close, and didn't. There is a gap, but its closing, little by little.

I dont like where we are, no rangers fan wants to be 19 points behind those pricks at any time, but we are where we are. It doesnt mean we drop our ambition or drop our standards, we just need a little more patience than we are perhaps used too.

Exactly. Quite a read, but you my friend have made the most sense on the subject.

Dilution of his share holding makes no difference to how much his shares are worth. In fact there is every chance voting through RES 11 would've made him money.

If there was a reason why, nobody is saying.

Depends on how many shares are issued. The whole idea of the share issue is to dilute the power of the easdales and gain investors.

as are most football teams it has to be said. i firmly believe Murray panicked when he seen his business empire under threat re the banking crisis, not actually because of the £19M we were in debt when sold.

I dont think anybody is suggesting we be reckless with the club as nobody wants a repeat scenario of what we went through, however many are disappointed in the level of investment DK has actually brought to the table. Yes we are still making a loss and yes that has decreased from £6m to £3m - but looking at the accounts for the last 2 years, that decrease on debt is largely down to the season ticket purchase uplift.

So if its the fans that are decreasing the debt and getting the club solvent, whats DK actually doing? simply running a tight ship? thats not what he alluded to when he came in.

That's what makes me worry. Even with all the ticket sales - something that cannot be improved on (without raising prices) - and we are still £3m in deficit. I pray king can take us out of Ashley's grip - it would be a totally different financial situation then.

While I agree that king has to step up and give us more than soft loans, mccoist and Malcolm Murray didn't help matters with the share issue vote. I truly believe mccoist didn't want to dilute his 1% share holding. Money is definitely his god.

  13. Just read the article- what planet is sir Walter on? He said the problems didn't start because of debt? We have been in debt since his 9 in a row, and further into debt during his last spell. Ok we were not in trouble with the debt but it still made Murray quake in his boots when the tax cases were first brought up. Now is not the time to be reckless.
