Lets say Boyd works in a steel plant - there are rumours of it closing or massive redundancies. You love the job but family security is also important, you get offered a job 'down south' but they need an answer within 12 months. Do you immediately leave, or wait to see what happens locally right until the last? Boyd is doing no different (IMHO) and while he has not scored recently he has, as most forwards do, having a barren run - nothing else, nothing sinister but dont let sense get in the way of having a good gripe!

Not the same at all, he would get a contract and be secure for getting paid the money in it if he signs a new one with us.

so he wants stability and is worried whats going to happen to the club, but on the news today a bank is talking of taking control of birmingham over 2.2 mill, i know this is pocket change compared to our debt but still theres a hinder of non stability at birmingham, so would he prollly be open to another club ? or stay wi The Famous Glasgow Rangers? or maybe ole Tony Mopopery has paid the bank manager to make threats so Boyd signs a new deal with us
